Default hatch vent, EZ vent or Indymotorworks

Since my AC does not work and I'm a little cash-light (most of the Vette$$$ spent on gas) I need to cool down my interior and cut some of the buffeting. 2 products available on fleabay, the EZ vent and the cast one from Indymotorworks. Same price. One requires a tool, the other just clips on. Comments on these 2?

Not much of an answer for you. The Indy guy doesn't live that far from me and has been in biz for a while. I do NOT know him or his rep. good luck either way.

If the EZ vent is the one Midamerica used to sell, I've got one and it works fine. Nice to be able to take it off quick if it starts to rain.

you want the canadian built one...hands-down nothing compares. i've owned 3 different styles and there is absolutely no comparison to quality, design and performance. the fit-form-function is clearly better than its competitors for a fair price.

http://www.corvettegadgetman.com/

1) the traditional vent (thats been around forever) is made of cast metal and can crack if accidentally over tightened or
subject to shock.

2) the spring-clip style vent has support issues and allows the hatch move too much.

3) The Canadian (gadgetman) is both high quality and designed flawlessly (and requires NO tools) $30

with all that said...i looked on ebay and the Canadian one is being called EZ Vent so THAT ONE...however compare prices with buying it direct from the link i provided

you do NOT want the C4 version of this one.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2006-2013-Co...VWnYQK&vxp=mtr

i've owned 3 C4 coupes and every one of them has had a hatch vent...not only for inside temp but even more important was to cut down on the thumping you get when the windows are down. in my opinion, they are a must-have!
this is my current car with the Canadian EZ Vent

I've been meaning to pick up one from the Gadgetman site. The one I got from Mid America is crap. Adjusted as far out as I can it it still won't close and turn off the interior lights, the "stalk" is not long enough👎

Do these vents allow the hatch to close while attached, or is it fixed in an open position?

Thanks!

EZ Vent - Corvettegadgetman website - love to hear the great feedback as always. Yes - I am the Corvettegadgetman. I very seldom post messages but want to pass along a special thank you to the Corvette Forum folk. I refer people to the Forum regularly for advice.

The gadgets have been available on EBay for quite awhile. As of today, I have taken all gadgets off EBay and only offering them on website. It's time to reduce my little inventory and time to wind things down, .... maybe time to retire and enjoy the great Corvette events in Canada .... Save the Wave
