Default Are all the C5 AUX modules phased out?

Ive read countless threads on adding an auxillary port to the c5. I have a 99 and have the 12 disc changer so I figured plugging the module into that input would work best. Wheneevr I try to find those parts online they are always either discontinued or the link is broken. What has anyone else done to add AUX to their c5 in the past few years? thanks

It looks like either one could work. I guess it just depends on whether he still wants to use the CD changer.

Default Cd aux

perfect timing on this thread - I just purchased a 99 FRC with the remote 12 CD AUX option. Unfortunately the CD changer failed and did not come with the purchase of the car. When I followed the link it describes that a CD must be in the changer - is there another option to get this to work? Is there a Bluetooth option vs a jack option?

thanks in advance

I just purchased a 97, Same thing. Remote changer does not work. Would love to have an IPOD setup without having to remove the radio or wired to a defunct CD changer.

Any products/Tutorials?

There's always the $3 do-it-yourself option. This is the post I followed to install mine:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...p-for-3-a.html

Unfortunately the photos are no longer showing. And you may have trouble finding a Radio Shack. Perhaps Tyler_RN_EMT can supply you the pictures. If not, there are maybe enough of us who have done it that we can provide assistance if you decide to try it.

You might want to look at this post also:

My 2000 came with the trunk mounted CD changer but my radio has a cassette so I use a $1.89 cassette adapter that goes into the slot in the radio and plugs into my iPod or phone and it works great and sounds as good as anything else.

Sounds interesting. Where can I get one of those? I have the 12 CD and the in dash cassette like yours. I did get my 12 CD working, but would like to try your setup.

They look like this:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Insten-Un...&wl13=&veh=sem
and you can get them from many sources, ebay, Amazon, Walmart, innumerable other stores. Prices can range from less than $2 to as high as $20 if you want to go there.

How about for a non cd changer setup? I just have a stereo/cd player in the dash and would love to be able to hook up my phone for music.

See post #3 in this thread.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...bluetooth.html

If you don't have a CD changer you need PXDX/PXHGM4 which plugs into the radio.
If your CD changer doesn't work you can also use this. The PXDX/PXHGM2 requires that there be a CD in the changer in order to plug in at the changer, so if the changer isn't working you will need to plug in at the radio.

For $20 you can also get a cassette to bluetooth adapter. I ordered one of these and it's working pretty well so far:
