I have no idea how you did that unless it was primarily a very long downhill run.

Even just driving around town (not even in Eco mode) my C7 gets better gas mileage than my wife's mini van and our Volvo station wagon. I tell people that all the time.

I can believe it, as my best average MPG in my C6 is 37.1! The stretch of highway I was on was perfectly flat, I had in 6th gear (manual with the stock 3.42 gears) the whole time (it was a one hour journey), the cruise control set to 60mph, although there was a short stretch where I was in the 50-55 mph range due to construction, and I was running non ethanol premium gas from Costco (worth about 3% better MPG over ethanol premiums) I can't wait to try and beat that number with a C7, as I do believe it'll be 1 or 2 better.

The best I've ever been able to do in my 14 Z51 M7 convertible running in Economy mode at 65 mph w/ cruise control in 7th on relatively flat ground is 30 mpg in a 600 mile trip.
I probably had a couple of 50-100 mile stretches where I saw 32-33 max, but the longer the trip, the more the average drops with all kinds of topography mixed in.

This was just a fun example of a high water mark over ~100 miles.
Still 30mpg! That's better than a huge number of other cars that people probably think are more efficient than a big V8 sports car.

Oh yeah, 30 is fantastic for a car with this kind of performance.

Frankly, I don't think little bursts of "good" mileage mean much. Coasting off a 7000 foot plateau toward sea level (like in the southwest) will always get you "good" mileage. I have 7500 miles total and I've never reset the MPG meter. There's a lot of highway driving in those 7500 miles, but it also includes trips to the barber shop and the hardware store. I've never used "Eco" mode and I don't try to 'be careful.' My average is 27.5. That's a lot better than any other vehicle I have owned for a very long time and I'm quite satisfied with it.

Look at the average speed, 66mph, no idling, no braking (or at least minimal); not a mystery why the economy is so good. The engine is under very little load (I'm sure someone can chime in on the actual HP needed to maintain that speed in 7th gear).
I drove my GS home about 6 miles from the gas station, relatively flat, 55mph average, and got close to 32mpg. Wide tires are going to mean more rolling resistance, so seeing 36mpg is less likely with a wide body car.
I was looking at a Ferrari 599 GTB just for $hit$ and giggles and the hwy mpg is around 15; even with the massive 28gal tank, it would still have less range that the C7 with its 18gal tank. We see much less mention of how good a GT car this 'Vette is, compared with its performance.

We had a 4,600 mile road trip to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks and back in my 2014 Vert. I kept the Trip A unchanged for the entire trip, my average mileage was 29.7 miles per gallon. Lots of 80mph+ speeds on Interstates, up and down mountains and bumper to bumper traffic through parks. Great car.

My best last 100 KM run was 7.0L/100 KM, last run was 7.4. It only takes one hard acceleration to blow your fuel economy run.
33.60 mpg and 31.79 MPG US gallons.
Some say that using an M7 in 6th in ECO mode is even better. Seems that my fun is to try to beat my previous high score.
REmember... the more spoilers and downforce generated = less fuel economy! STILL, i'm so glad that i can turn it off in an M7 as it can be terribly clunky on anything but a superhighway.

Got a ridiculous 36.6 mpg on the way home from the dealer in May on a 50 mile segment. Not even broken in! A8, ECO mode, Interstate 80 - flat (I swear), 73~ mph. I won't be erasing this "best" screen ever. The only tank that I have manually checked was for 426 miles and 15.5 gal = 27.4 mpg. The car said I used 14.6 gal and got 29.3 mpg.

Here's a picture of my car after getting real good gas mileage:
I don't have a picture of more normal fuel economy - I usually come in from a track session and it shows about 3.8 to 4.2 mpg.
