Clear bra
#3
picking my new GS up Thursday, they just finished the clear bra today. I wanted it done before I took delivery. Bring it home and ceramic coat it then it's ready for miles!

it's a compromise no matter what brand nowadays but one i have learned to live with. Heck with the amount of orange peel on these cars it's not much different..
You sacrifice a small amount of clarity for the safety and reassurance that some small rocks, sand whatever aren't going to ruin the paint the next time you wipe it down or admire it on a sunny day, at a show, or just walking out of a restaurant and noticing the chips on the front or any forward facing surface.
I have it, i would do it again, this was my first. My father (left the car with him for a few days had a party at the house needed the garage for extra space in case the weather turned, it was supposed to be poor) and he couldn't get over how noticeable it is, he didn't like it... he comes from an era of Lacquer paint and mirror finish lol..
i've already noticed a couple small nicks in the Xpel one on the headlight and man they would have been ugly, i know it.. paint has not been compromised, that's awesome and worth it. even read a few posts and watched a video of a side swipe and the film peeled off and not a FREAKIN mark.... Xpel..

My local expert uses llumar which he claims is the same as suntek. He will also do xpel for a few more dollars, but recommends the llumar. He will be doing my window tints this Friday and we will talk more about the clear bra, but I am definitely putting something on as the GS will see plenty of auto-x and track side.

Congratulations on the new C7! With the Corvette being in the top 5 vehicles we see at XPEL, we are glad you are expressing interest in getting yours protected. We see many Corvettes owners come to us and give us the job of protecting their investment. The areas typically covered are the front bumper, full hood, full fenders, mirrors, rocker panels, and usually the headlights. We have even seen some get the entire car protected. Our ULTIMATE film has a 10 year warranty and is covered against yellowing, discoloring, peeling, cracking, and hazing.
In regards to Kevin A Jones question, a typical full front coverage will range in price from $1,895 - $2,195. This includes all your basic high impact areas with the exclusion of the rocker panels.
We appreciate all those who use our product, and if you have any questions feel free to reach out. If you are looking for an installer, please visit XPEL Installer Locator to find an installler nearest you.

I had my tints done at tint world too turned out great.got an estimate for expel for half the hood fenders bumper and mirrors for 800.00 that sound reasonable they said they would need the car for 2 days.
