Default Front sway bar PU bushings installation

Hi all,

I do have PU bushings installed in my front sway bar (69 BB). Are there any recommendations for fastening the nuts and bolts (torque, turns etc) for the PU bushing (I know there are for the rubber ones)?

Thanks!

I didn't do anything different for the poly (matter of fact I torqued them with just my calibrated arm and not a torque wrench). Have had no issues at all.

Disclosure: I have installed aftermarket swaybars and polyurethane bushings in probably 20 other cars I have owned over the years.

Hi GP,
15-20 lbs.ft seems pretty typical for sway bar links with rubber bushings.
Regards,
Alan

I have done the same now for 35 years on too many cars to think about both poly and rubber but mostly poly....Torque wrench is not needed for every thing but for critical bolts/nuts...never had a problem using the arm torque method....

Tighten the bolt until you can feel some drag on the steel sleeve, as you try to rotate it.
