What is the latest and greatest clutch?
I'm looking for a new clutch for my daily driver Z06. I'm currently at 700 wheel horsepower. I needs to be Street friendly but able to put down some quick 60 ft. The reason I'm looking for one is that I currently have them mccloud that is not living up to my expectations. I haven't been in the market for a clutch for quite some time so I don't really know what the newest technology regarding clutches is.

I have had multiple Supras with the RPS Carbon and it's a very good clutch. Super smooth and easy to drive. I'm sure it's nice in the Corvette too. With that said I have a Mcleod RXT and it drives very well IMHO. My mother could drive this car without a issue. It can get noisy but it's a twin disk so some noise is to be expected.
When you say the RXT is not living up to your expectations which part specifically are you not happy with? I think that is important to know so people don't recommend a clutch that behaves the same way.

So far I can get
Monster Triple LT1 for 1500
Mantic 9000 for 1750
Centerforce for 1670
Any solid comparisons or everyone here just regurgitating what they bought?

Lots of the LS9 guys are having great luck with the SPEC super twin's. The super twin SS version is $1200 with Flywheel and can handle that power all day.

so the disc material is wearing prematurely ( I may have missed something), are you reusing the same slave cyl & pilot bushing?
