Default What is the latest and greatest clutch?

I'm looking for a new clutch for my daily driver Z06. I'm currently at 700 wheel horsepower. I needs to be Street friendly but able to put down some quick 60 ft. The reason I'm looking for one is that I currently have them mccloud that is not living up to my expectations. I haven't been in the market for a clutch for quite some time so I don't really know what the newest technology regarding clutches is.

Check out the RPS from Tony Mamo. It was specially built for him.

I have had multiple Supras with the RPS Carbon and it's a very good clutch. Super smooth and easy to drive. I'm sure it's nice in the Corvette too. With that said I have a Mcleod RXT and it drives very well IMHO. My mother could drive this car without a issue. It can get noisy but it's a twin disk so some noise is to be expected.

When you say the RXT is not living up to your expectations which part specifically are you not happy with? I think that is important to know so people don't recommend a clutch that behaves the same way.

please forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes in this because I am using a microphone to type text to speech. The McLeod rxt clutch that I have had for the last 4 years on my ZO6 has consistently giving me poor life span. I have had the clutch RMAd four times already and every time I either have balancing issues from the factory or clutch disengagement issues even though I measure precisely every time it is installed. I have gone as far as measuring all clutch disc gaps with a gauge while on the phone with McLeod Representatives. After three to five thousand miles of driving the clutch has stopped disengaging fully on three separate clutches. It does not seem that a McLeod clutch is up to the task of daily driving with 600 to 700 wheel horsepower. My Hope Is that somebody can recommend a good clutch that will not show signs of wear with them three to four thousand miles of Street use. Apart from the functionality issues with the McLeod clutch I have also had a very poor experience with the modulation ability of the rxt it has been very hard to drive on the street and I have had 3 different types of clutch material sent to me on the separate RMA occasions

So far I can get

Monster Triple LT1 for 1500
Mantic 9000 for 1750
Centerforce for 1670

Any solid comparisons or everyone here just regurgitating what they bought?

Lots of the LS9 guys are having great luck with the SPEC super twin's. The super twin SS version is $1200 with Flywheel and can handle that power all day.

so the disc material is wearing prematurely ( I may have missed something), are you reusing the same slave cyl & pilot bushing?
