About to purchase Used C7 2016 Vert - opinions?
First time posting.
I am about to pull the trigger on getting a used 2016 Vert White/Black z51 2LT(thanks for the correction) Manual Trans
7,000 mile or so.
Dealer is willing to take $54,000 not inc doc fee which is like 200 some.
My friend is telling me to not do it and get new, so this is got me hesitating.
MSRP from the invoice sheet which they emailed me is: $71450.
less hold back wholesale is apparently 64521.95 (when it was new)
The price is better than KBB estimate value. I know you can get 11-13% off easily on leftover new 2017 if you can find the one you want, and maybe order for 9% off.
Thoughts if this is a poor deal?

Seems like a pretty good deal to me but I am no expert. Be sure to have somebody run a GM service report on it to see what if anything has been done to it. The car should be super clean for me to consider it.

Its a 2LT not LT2 and sounds like a good deal if the car checks out being mechanically sound.

Confirm with a GM dealer that all the warranties are still in effect.

Excellent suggestions here. I would also have the dealership [if it is a chevy dealership] run the diagnostics and get it documented that the engine is still set to factory specs, i.e., that it was not tuned by the prior owner. GLW purchase!

Personally I prefer new and yes I take the hit on the depreciation on the value but I know the condition of the car from the start and there are NO surprises. There are plenty of nice used vettes out there for sure.
You will love the 2LT package and the convertible is awesome!

Suggest checking to see if it has the magnetic ride option, which most people think is very desirable on a Z51. If it doesn't have mag ride, the ride may be too firm for you.

It's about 25% off MSRP. Considering you would be lucky to get more than 13% off a 2017 right now it's a much better deal than buying new. The minute you buy a new one and drive it off the lot you lose another 10% or so of the value.

Good looking Vette and you got a solid deal as long as there are no surprises which only time will tell.
