Engine Noise While Turning
Has anyone experienced a considerable amount of decreased engine noise when turning moderately right (roughly .40g) according to the HUD. Thanks.

'08 Z06 here, only 'noise' I have is valve chatter in turns or straights.
Not clear re what kind of noise diminishes making a turn.
Bad wheel bearing(s) moan increases w/ load, like turns, but never heard of this. Need more info.

I'm used to the typcial LS7 valvetrain noise especially with LT headers. Stock cam with MF103 and tune. It purrs like a Singer sewing machine but when I make moderate right turns it seems to greatly diminish almost as if the typical valvetrain noise is put on pause until I straighten out. The sound pause doesn't happen when making lefts. Does this sound unusual?

^^^ excellent suggestion M, and certainly not unheard of.
OP must check MMs, probably means getting it up on a lift.
IIRC bad MMs weep a liquid substance, in the cases I recall this fluid's plainly visible against black rubber mount casing.
How big (or not) a PITA it is to replace, I've long forgot.
Do remember a few cases where aftermarket MMs, supposedly superior to stock, were chosen & why would be another question. YMMV

Sounds like OP is talking about a lessening of normal motor sounds not a new and different noise.
I'm no expert but likely shifting of oil in the top or bottom end possibly covering components under valve cover with more oil and deadening normal motor sounds.

Thanks for all the replies. D Howie nailed it. It's not a new noise but simply a decrease in normal chatter when turning right. I'll chaulk it up to increased lube. Understanding this, I wonder if I'm underfilled or better yet if it's better for the motor to drive with chatter or not?
