Order from one of the forum vendors and arrange a courtesy delivery to a local dealer.

They seem to think they can get sticker. They must not sell very many. Saw a dealer in Nederland is still stuck with a '16 I drove 700 miles from Lake Charles to Kansas for a '16 with a $5,000 bonus tag back in February. Would try a forum dealer such as Kerbeck or MacMulkin. Seems like best prices are usually in winter though if you can wait

This month (July 1) GM did a "Private Offering" lotsa of discounts on their entire model line emailed to select customers only. This private offering was made public on this forum and the discounts for corvette were $3k for all Corvettes and $5k if the Corvette had J57 brakes.
The Private offering runs from July 1 - August 31, 2017. I called Chevy helpline in early July and asked to be put on the mailing list for the private offering; The helpdesk spiel was that it was a random selection by GM marketing, they (Chevy Service) had no control over it and they can't add anyone to the email offering already sent out July 1.
As other posters have mentioned, when you feel the need, the need for speed, rent a vette from Hertz this summer. Then go back to your dealers in December and remove GM's excess profit from these cars' price tags when you make your purchase.

It sounds like your dealership in Beaumont is not interested in selling Corvette......

Try Classic Chevrolet in Sugar Land (Houston). They are usually willing to deal. Use http://www.carprousa.com and click on he Approved Dealer tab and follow the instructions for a good deal

I really don't understand why people are buying from local dealers anymore. You have amazing dealers to choose from all over the country.

There are a few more... but seriously, you need to open up your range of searching and you will get the car and deal you want. I bought mine from Macmulkin. I had a price in mind. I called them and they quoted $2000 under what I wanted to pay, including shipping. I tried buying from 2 local dealers... wasted my time. In fact, the dealer that had the car in stock I tried to buy in late March/early April, still has it. Still WAY over what I paid. http://www.bobsteelechevy.com/Vehicl...-FL/2966151383
So again, don't limit yourself to the local dealer.

IF buying from out-of-state for a 'Courtesy Delivery' to a local dealer make certain ahead of time local dealer can/will do a CD. Not all do.
If there's a dealer who will do a CD, ask what they charge, fees vary.
Ideally selling forum dealers will do the legwork locating a participating local dealer who'll accept delivery for you. But, must check.
Also since local isn't getting $ on sale, don't expect the full Monty one gets w/ a local sale.

I would give Mark or Tommy at MacMulkin a call. Have purchased 4 Corvettes and 3 other vehicles from them.
They can arrange for delivery to your house.
Great prices and great service.

At an additional cost, sure.
Car's placed on a truck & shipped to your locale, cost is in direct proportion to distance car's being shipped.
It'd arrive w/o a PDI also, if that's what it's called anymore.
Selling dealers perform a fairly comprehensive check of fluids etc when new cars arrive & prior to delivery, or are supposed to.
Buyers taking delivery at their home would have to it themselves, unless arrangements/request w/ selling dealer.
CF has several members selling Chevrolets & they'd be the best ones to ask re such detail(s).
