SET OF 5 NOS F70x15 NON DOT GOODYEAR WIDE TREAD WHITE LETTER TIRES
I picked these up in the mid seventies and have held them ever since. I just figured out they are dated wrong for my 69 so hope someone can use them. They are on EBay and NCRS for $3800. Pardon my all CAPS copy paste from EBay. I would much rather have them go to the right car with the right dates. I'm open to offers but I see USED ones going for $600. You could actually drive on these, they are soft, not brittle, no cracking and always protected. Perfect for judging and you can actually drive on them without fear. Message me if you want any info.
SET OF 5 NOS GOODYEAR WIDE TREAD F70 X 15 WHITE LETTER TIRES. NON DOT. DATED 1970 EARLY PRODUCTION. PERFECT CONDITION, NEVER MOUNTED. KEPT IN CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT SINCE NEW. WILL SHIP FOR ACTUAL COST. MY NCRS NUMBER IS 1256.

Safety Car
I don't think I can talk the wife into them at that price, but for curiosity's sake, how early in 1970 are they dated. I have a February 4th, 1970 car I am restoring.

Three are 11th week of 1970, one is 14th week of 1970 and one is December 1969. As a set of 5 they should work for a build after the 14th week of 1970. Or as a set of four (the dec 69 one and the three 11th week of 70) a car built after the 11th week of March. I'm willing to talk different combinations like that.

These are brand new non DOT tires. I've owned and protected them since the 70"s. Planned to put them on my original 69 big block. But they are dated wrong for me. These carry correct dates for NCRS judging for a car built in 70-71 not 69.
If NCRS ijudging is not your cup of tea then it's a stupid price, buy the repops for $400 or so. But these things have been selling USED on EBAY for 600-700. There is ONE Uniroyal on there for $1000.
You could actually mount these and drive on them, they are safe, not have to switch out judging tires.
I priced them based on what a couple of the best known restorers told me. But I'm open to offers.

Good luck with your Sale.
I'm not sure how you can make the statement they are safe to drive on though. Not much research out there to back that statement up I would suspect. They are great for NCRS judging though, that I agree, but to drive on I suspect that would be dangerous. IMO.
Like I said, good luck with your sale, someone needs them for judging.

Actually I based that on what one of the restorers said. Tires go bad for two reasons, exposure to bad climate control, too much heat, too cold, too much humidity, classic situation if stored in a garage. OR heat cycles from being driven. If they are stored right they last. I was certainly not suggesting track use or high speed runs though! The restorers thought it might simply allow a top flight car owner not to have to switch out tires for judging.
You should consider selling the tires with no warranty expressed or implied so as to avoid any such future legal liability. It is unfortunate to have to do so, but it is best to protect yourself, again in my opinion.
Good luck with your sale.

I guess I am suggesting that you might protect yourself from legal issues if and should someone drive on them and then have a blowout and come back to suggest you said they were safe to drive on. That is all I am suggesting. People have sued for less.

And I'm very open to offers if we can get it done this week.
