Finally... My first C5 Z06
Today was a pretty cool day for me.
I've been searching the past month roughly all across the country for the perfect C5 Z06 for myself. I knew with my budget, finding one that I would be happy with would be tough, but I just kept plugging away and searching.
Ended up finding a 2002 Z06 right down the road from me that was within my budget. Went down to look at it today and decided to go ahead and pull the trigger.
The car has 140k miles on it, and is not 100% perfect, but for a 15 year old car, it's damn nice!
The paint is about a 8.5 out of 10. Has some small rock chips on the front end, nothing big though. There are also a couple small chips where the rear tires have kicked rocks up on the lower quarters but again, nothing major. I plan on having it professionally touched up and have a full paint correction process done on the car for now and go from there.
The interior is about an 8 out of 10. Drivers seat bolster has a little wear showing. The center console lid also has some cracking in the leather. Along with that the passenger door is missing the little 1/2" x 3" trim piece that covers the screws behind the door grip and it needs a drivers seat motor. In all reality though, those things are small.
Overall I am damn happy. The car spent a lot of time in KY, FL and SC over the years, but has recently spent it's life here in CT. Considering all that, there is absolutely NO rust on anything in, around or under the entire car.
It does have an MGW Short Shifter as well as a Corsa Exhaust and one of those inexpensive CorvetteMods.com ram air intakes.
First order of business is to fix all the interior issues, from there, I plan to lower it for now and enjoy it. I do plan to do TSP longtubes and X pipe as well as see if I can get anyone to trade me some B&B Bullet's for the Corsa exhaust once I find out exactly which exhaust it is.
Can't wait to start modding and building the C5Z I have always dreamed of!

Thanks all! I'm super stoked on the car. Already ordered a few little things to fix some small issues with the car. going to work on making the car 100% solid first, then I will start modding.
