Default 1996 interior part name

I have a 1996 C4 that I am trying to fix up. I need to replace the piece that goes under the dash where a glovebox would be if it had one. It is the plastic piece that is above where your legs would be on the passenger side. It has some relays behind it. I can't figure out what it is called or where to find a replacement.
Thanks.

Do you mean the one with the courtesy light with plastic and carpet?

As PLRX's post shows it is the Panel, I/P LWR TR (I/P is short for instrument panel).

More commonly the part is referred to as a hush panel. Best bet for finding one is one of the recyclers. I've used vette2vette and contemporary corvette and been very pleased with both.

I'd maybe try 'local' first and maybe use what's available on eBay as a pricing base to work from. Maybe more preferred might be using the WTB - in the C4 parts section. Post a snapshot of yours maybe for color match requested etc. If your old had a casting number in the plastic you might use that as an identifier. There's mounting tabs that are likely busted on many so when comparing make sure you know what's actually needed.

Post a snapshot of yours in the WTB noting areas that maybe have the damaged tabs or mounting points.

It's a larger part so there's not likely any inexpensive shipping options - packaging might be important!

I've always called it a "kick panel", but I think that is actually the vertical panel on the outside side of the footwell.
