New Guy Southern Indiana (1966 coupe)
I exist because of a 1964 black convertible Corvette. See back in the 60's my father asked out this young car hop who turned him down in his old car. He came back in his vet and Mom said yes. Years later I was driven home from the hospital in his 3rd vette a 1969 427 convertible. But having a young family he traded the 1969 in as a down payment on the home they still own together. Recently my father told me about crying as he watched his last Corvette drive away in 72. He said he just had to get me a home and I was his priority. He told himself he would have one again, but that just got lost in life and other hobbies. Thinking about the sacrifice he had made I took him to Pro Team Corvette this summer to see some cars and refresh his memories. Well last week he bought a nice 1966 coupe there.
We are looking for events and Corvette clubs in our area Indiana - Kentucky that we can take part in and come full circle with a little red Corvette as a father and son. Thanks for reading...
