Default Weekend Mods

Wife left me alone this weekend.. bad idea!

Got a few mods done while she was gone, and 2 weeks later she still hasn't noticed.

1. Wrapped the "stinger" on the transparent roof, great work done by Premier Wraps in Corpus Christi, TX (Included a before and after)
2. Borla X Pipe, no cats, completed by local dealer's Vette Tech
3. Lowered all 4 corners, work done by ME!

Looks good! Roof "stingers" really set off the transparent top and make the car profile flow so much better. It's the only way I would have one if I could stand the head.

Good job. Looks magnificent! My wife wouldn't have noticed either. She wouldn't have cared about the money end of it I don't think. She would have noticed it I had the car wrapped in a different color!

I'm extremely happy with the Borla. Had originally planned on headers & tune, but since I'll only have car another 6 months or so, it just wasn't worth the headache of being out on the warranty. (Yes you heard right, she will be for sale in 6 months!)

But, I will say this.. the first drive after install I was a bit disappointed by lack of sound etc.. Haven't seen it mentioned on the forum, but in my past experience with exhaust components, they take some time to "break in". Definitely sounds much meaner now

thanks! The transparent roof is really my only option being 6'5. I do use a detachable liner if going on a road trip, but when I get out I feel like Shaw from the old Taco Bell commercials with him eating tacos!

total of 195$ for the wrap, and roof liner.. vs $2500+ for CF exposed.. guess I'll have to get used to eating tacos

Take it out an stomp on it! Every gear will pop. Keep your window rolled down. You'll really hear the difference, and make sure you have it in sport or track sound.

Halo blackout on transparent/carbon roof cars and painted roof spears on the transparent top should be standard from the factory. That looks so much better.

Has anyone had the spears on their transparent roof painted? If so, any special procedures or technique required?

Red would be crazy to say the least.. I've had black rims on my cars/trucks since 2005, so my opinion would be a bit biased as is.

Red may look good if the rims had a bit of a lip, so as to not go too crazy and just do the lip and maybe interior of spokes

Ride height looks as it should from the factory. Much better than stock.

i did explore this option in the beginning.. after speaking with 4 different paint shops, I basically got the same answer every time. They were not sure if the paint would adhere to the roof, even after roughing up, and had a very high possibility of peeling. Also didn't help that price ranged from 4-800$ with no warranties from any of them

Thanks kaup30. That was my concern. Might need to re-think the idea. Really like the look though. I have the aftermarket stick on spears right now. They're not bad, but think paint would look better if it would hold up.
