Man, this is so cool....
Nothing earth shattering here, just a note on how invigorating it is just owning a Vette. My daily, and only ride, has been a truck for the last 5 years. I knew there would be a big difference sitting in a Corvette, as compared to my truck with a 4" lift. But, my "new" favorite part when driving my C6, is accelerating around other cars in two of our big sweeping curves around traffic lights. The increase in speed, and handling, allowing me to take those curves much faster, and then accelerating out of the corner....is just extraordinary! Not going to say something silly like, "It's better than sex." But, it is pretty damn close!
Nothing else to say here....just wanted to share a feeling that y'all are already aware of. God bless the Corvette!

Yeah, owning a Vette is a very special experience. I bought my first one about a month ago, and it's certainly exceeded all my high expectations. Every time I get into it, I feel like I'm strapping myself into a jet fighter cockpit.

Thank gawd.
Enjoy the new experience, if you've a HUD there should be a g-meter. My '08 Z06 HUD has it so if you've a HUD check Owner's Manual & learn which mode has it.
BTW new tires are even more amazing keeping the butt planted.
If some numb-nut gets on your 6, lead 'em thru' some twisties & watch 'em fade into the distance.
Had a couple goons try crowding my rear w/ their Honda whatever.
Just so happens we were approaching a very twisty section of road, slowly increasing ZCar's speed I effortlessly navigated turns while jamoke's ricer's front-end was bottoming-out in the turns trying to keep up.
Will make your day + a big smile.
To say the least the time a Corvette picks-up coming out of turns is quite impressive.

You don't drive a corvette you wear it, very cool feeling. love seeing the other "race" cars disappear in the rear view. I also run with a dash cam for later viewing and entertainment. Enjoy.

I'm in the same boat...recently became the owner of a C6 Z06 and it's amazing. Been driving a 96 Ford Bronco for the last 3 years so yeah, it's a helluva change! I've always enjoyed sports cars and sitting low to the road. Living a dream every time I push that button and hear it fire up!
I found dealers didn't take me as a serious buyer when rolling up in my white Bronco and aside from a few OJ comments, it was difficult to get any help. Started taking out the wife's G8 when looking and things changed.

Ah, yes. Nice to see I'm not alone in this feeling. Running an errand this morning, I found myself pretty much alone in a traffic circle. Needless to say, I started accelerating a bit more as I continued, and had a smile the whole time! I think maybe three passes in all. As I exited the circle, I noticed that there was a few camera's (of course ) monitoring the circle. Pretty sure the dudes watching it will rewind it two or three times, muttering, "I've gotta get me one of those...." There wasn't anyone else approaching the circle, so what the heck?! Oh, well....

Wait till you punch it when driving uphill. All that glorious torque as you pass others.

Oh...btw...
Anyway, I love the merging races also....

In my Corvette I'm more cautious of merging idiots but it's more able to avoid chuckleheads doing their best to try and merge into traffic.
I always give way to merging semi's because they are not sports cars and I get lots of headlight and taillight flashes to say thanks for helping them get back on the highway from weigh stations etc.

This could be a whole new thread on rude and ignorant things drivers do more frequently now than before. The merging is certainly an issue, especially when they merge AND THEN SLOW DOWN!!! Almost as bad as pulling off a side street onto a major road as you are approaching the intersection AND THERE IS NOBODY BEHIND YOU. It is funny that I can't remember the last time someone in a vette did either of these things.

There are Corvettes, and then there's everything else. Enjoy your new ride!
