Default Replacing front rotors - Buy a mated hub/rotor?

Hey all, I'm new to this forum.

I just had a left front piston leak happen on my '78 with 102K miles. Pulled off the wheel and caliper and measured the left front rotor with a digital caliper to 1.208" The right one measured 1.229" or so but I'm thinking it would be best to replace both at the same time, as well as replacing both front calipers with o-ring rebuilds.

I've read about the rivet drilling to get the existing rotors off, and then the runout issues that need to be dealt with. Honestly it all sounds like a pain in the *** to me. So I went and found some factory-like hub/rotor assemblies like these:
http://www.mamotorworks.com/Corvette...built-603451-1
https://www.vbandp.com/auto-parts/c2...ds-detail.html

Right now I'm leaning towards getting the Mid America ones because of the price and because I'm not too sure about the modularity of the VBandP ones. I don't expect to ever replace the rotors again.

Is this a dumb idea? Is the drilling and fixing runout not as bad as I imagine?

Should I replace the front wheel hub bits at the same time? Master cylinder? I'll be replacing the hoses of course but I'm trying not to let too much project creep in. I live in a cold state and want to drive the thing, sooner rather than later.

Thanks for any advice!

I wouldn't say "dumb."

If you don't want to drill, that would be your choice.

Define "bits". If you go with the rotor/hub combination you will need bearings and races.

...Master cylinder?...
Do you need a master cylinder?

That's a lot more money than just going to a auto parts and buying a set of good quality rotors. On top of that new bearings and races like East Mike said.

The mid america unit is rebuilt stock.

The VBP unit is aluminum, with over size studs.
