66 modified hood CNC air intakes
So I raised the stock hood on my 66 street/road race c2 about an inch and a half so it would clear the manifold carb combo I had to run to make the horse power number I wanted. But now it seems the fake side vent moldings seem out of proportion. Can one of you out there CNC me some bigger functioning side vents or tell me who can. Thanks Reno

Reno, Just asked of my engineer who runs our laser scanner about scanning the part. He said about 1-1.5 hours for our digital scanner to create a Solidworks model. The model can then be enlarged to your desired opening and a mirror image created. Then there are lots of on-line 3D printers or CNC machines. We could cut it with our Haas but if it was me I'd get it printed in black with embedded carbon fibers vs aluminum.
I have the same hood but not inclined to remove my vent. Getting the digital model is the key. Getting it printed is easy or can be done here in Huntsville. Lots of contract additive manufacturing businesses. Let me know. Pretty trivial actually.

Had to cut it short before. I can create a SolidWorks solid model of the stock vent and then modify the CAD model to what you need. Be glad to donate the time to be part of what you're making. Saw the engine on another thread and know it will be wicked. Let me know.
