Default Where are all the old-timers?

I was reading Mo Bandy's thread about his electric Corvette and saw posts from some people we have not heard from lately.
Anyone know where they are now?

Frizlefrak and his "cat buddy"
Mrmtrtrmd
Agent 86
Shakedown067
F22
Hitmanpty
Littlesk8kracker
Kenv
Drmrman
Tommy T-Bone

Have they all gone to the newer Corvettes or even the Ricer or Rustang forums?

From what I know...Some moved on to different boards in like 2010 or so over drama, some sold their c4, some lurk, some moved to other boards to follow the tech advice. This board is the least technical for years now. I think kenv posted not real long ago, but rarely anymore.

Agent86 lurks here. Usually gives someone an electrical schematic.
TommyTbone, IIRC he hangs with Bogus on guru.

So many have left great insights and info in the history here.
To bad these guys now try to reinvent the wheel and lead others astray.

If only there were a sticky to help understand the "search" feature.
Oh never mind... they don't read the stickies either.

I've been here from virtually the start of the forum in the late 90's, lots of people have come and go. I know if I sell a car my forum visits dwindle as my knowledge disappears but still planning on keeping my 96 that I bough virtually new for a while still.

A lot of the missing were just trouble makers anyway. No reason to miss them.

your so right JrRifleCoach. There would be half the posts of members knew how to use the advance search function. But then half don't listen anyway.

Vader86 and a few more like yourself are still out there.

Think about that statement for a second. "There would be half the posts of members knew how to use the advance search function" so there would be a message board that survives on posts without any posts.
Not a great business model. Now, if I were searching for something I'd most likely use the search and then respond to an old thread. That thread would get locked for bumping an old thread and the person/people that posted in it most likely aren't posting here anymore so it would be a dead end.
Wouldn't it make more sense to just post a new thread and ask my question?

I've been on this forum forever but hardly post due to the attitude displayed in your post. Not very welcoming. Think about that next time someone posts a question and people reply with "Use the search function"

People get old, sell the cars, get married life happens.

With photobucket cutting everyone off searching for threads with pics on how tos changes a lot, tons of good threads arent of much help now

It was a different place yrs ago, still miss the daily CFI outbursts

FWIW, I believe they have dropped the hard and fast rule of locking threads over a certain age provided the new posts are relevant to the thread topic.

back before this forum was updated with uploading capabilities everybody here used Photobucket. Those threads now are totally useless. they only way to restore them is to edit, and upload the photos using the forum's "insert image" tool.

Speaking of that, I'll check my coolant temp sticky

I'm NOT going to turn this into a bitXhing match with you. I will say that there is so much info out there that if anyone was to do a little homework first, they'd find that more helpful than asking the same question and end up with a dozen different answers. Obviously you've not been on the other forums where this same topic is always present. We also changed the rules for the mods to not lock old threads so that we could return to address the issue. Most helpful for those that can read.

And those others that are gone were great posters and shared a wealth of info. Most with a good humor and we always had lots of laughs. Gone is the day that we could laugh at ourselves. Today so many are uptight and can't handle a reminder to search and read. So think about that next time.

Frizlefrak sold his 95, and bought a Ram truck.

The others magically disappear....

CorvetteMike quit the forum because he was offended by forum members.

Hokie bought a brand new C7 Z06 with the Z07 option, removed the factory supercharger and installed the Procharger kit. He'd claim it does the mile in 12 seconds.

I feel like it's the end of a saga or movie like "stand by me" Hokie part. lmao

I think Central Coaster took up with the circus, he plays both the strongman and the bearded fat lady.
