They don't come with the resistors (which I ordered) but the hyperflash is minimal so I did not install the resistors.

bartsky , not sure what your price point is but they coolest looking LED switch backs are RADIOFLYER Innovations switchbacks and harness
http://shop.radioflyerinnovations.co...rvette-089.htm
They are a vendor on this forum

this type of switchback bulb that you are looking at only turns white at night when your headlights are on then turn amber when you put the turn signals on or when driving during the day

if you want to spend a bit more money , radio flyer sells a harness and the BEST and brightest bulbs , these stay white no matter if the headlights are on or not and only turn amber when you turn on the turn signals

the harness uses GM connectors , has the resistor to stop hyper flash built in and is a real quality piece , the bulbs are best in class not some junky import

They look so cool during the day and I get a ton of complements on them

With just the lights on ....

and with the left turn signal on

Thanks for the reply. Yes he seems to have the best quality as I have ordered from him before. I trade cars very often, so I am going to give these cheapies a shot. I have cree led reverse lights that I have swapped into countless C6's, and they are still going...

I have both the led switchback bulbs and the harness...
Just gotta find time to install them.
Love the look of white lights while driving; yellow when the turn signal is engaged.

Just a reminder that the white DRL function using switchbacks is a feature of the harness, not the bulb itself.

IMO it's insane there's no way to simply permanently disable the DRL function. If not an onboard menu item, then at least doable through software. I've trained myself to twist the switch on the turn sigs every time I start the car, but it's a kludge and I occasionally forget. Seriously, in daytime a bright-red Vette is just as noticeable without those dingy amber lights.

Funny you should say that.

I was doing research on capabilities of Tech2 scanner and it may be possible to reprogram the BCM removing the T62 RPO code (Daytime Running Light - Delete). DRL's as a removable option in the BCM was required for certain non-US markets where yellow DRL's are not permitted.

I know the T62 RPO is listed as an available option on C6's up to 2010 but I won't be able to confirm it is available in my 2011 Grandsport until I get home. The 2011 RPO code listing I found online does not include the T62 code but that may only be indicative that GM did not permit you to order a US spec C6 without that code.

I will check with my Tech2 this weekend ...

I dont think it is listed as the option code , I think last time I looked at my TECH 'll it was just listed as DRL with the asterisk next to it , to turn it of , just remove asterisk

let us know what u find

Wait so you're saying if I get a Tech2 clone I could remove an asterisk next to DRL and be done with the blasted things? I've been on the fence about getting the clone, wondering if I'd find enough use for it, but that might be compelling enough to get one.

also programmed some key fobs for another

Well, checked BCM programming options using my Tech2 on my 2011 Grandsport and I don't see any reference to DRL under options.

I did go ahead and activate the "Afterblow" option on the A/C system though.
