Default Give me pros and cons to two Z06's

I've done just about as much research as I can on the C7 Z06 and have it narrowed down to 2 cars. I can get a black/chrome wheels 3LZ for about $79,000 and that car is a stick. I can also get a red 1LZ for about $75,000 and that one's an automatic. The black one is 10 miles from my house which would make maintenance so easy. The red one is about 120 miles away. So just suppose you had an $80,000 budget. Which would you pick? Both cars are 2017's.

Regardless of where you buy it, any chevy dealer can service it under warranty. Depends on if you want M7 or a8 trans really. I've had both trans and prefer the A8 for everyday driving. Ymmv. I like the 2lz package at a minimum personally.

Black one. It's stick, closer, and a 3LZ.

Sorry, convertibles and automatics don't belong in a Z06.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
My first c7 was black. Had to wash it every time I drove it.

These really are two opposite types of Corvettes for too different types of buyers in all honestly.

Wow, tough decision. Complete different set-ups. I knew I wanted a M7 and 2LZ. I struggled with the color...

You're debating color, tranny, package, wheels, etc. The price difference is not that much of a factor, and you can service your Vette at any GM dealership.

You're going to have to narrow it down more, but I vote for the Black M7/3LZ...

If they swapped the wheels on those cars they would each sell quicker.

but yeah the black one duh.

Enjoy it!

Black vs Red?
Chrome vs Painted rims?
A8 vs M7?

Decisions, decisions.

I'm not sure the black one with chrome rims (and yellow calipers?) works for me, but the Red one with a 1LZ is a deal breaker. 2LZ at a minimum on a car this expensive.

If you plan on selling within 5 years, get the 3LZ. Low option cars are harder to sell.

WATCH OUT! That red dealer's only asking $73,105 on ebay, and they have been listing that car on Ebay for months. like the other contributor said, 1lz in a Z06 is not a hot item, either new or when you decide to sell.

I realize I could not have picked two different cars, but everyone's comments are appreciated. To be honest, the transmission isn't a deal breaker either way. Color? I like both.

You hit the nail on the head Gene. I guess I could always advertise a wheel/tire swap on here for a black set.

Thank you SilverGhost. I had not seen that and that will give me more bargaining power on the red one.
