YEP, kinda.
The boss is fascinated with the history of Ford, Dodge, Chevrolet, and others. Wish she had invested in them back in 1908, I wouldn't have waited until 65 to retire.
She just said she would rather watch this than Wheel of Fortune. My Lord, she will never get into a nursing home unless I pay double.
NASCAR drivers won't stand a chance in the nursing home against Grandma with her broom powered wheel chair. And she can turn right.

Anybody else notice the story line never covered the '32 and the V8 introduction. Strange Dennis

Sounds like you east coast guys have seen the second episode already - won't be on for another 20 minutes here on the left coast.

Loved he show when they showed something. Five minutes of show and then 10 minutes of commercials. After a hour I turned it off.
Next time show us something with a reasonable amount of commercials.

I'll be sure to count the commercials before I post up another show. LOL.
Aside from the commercials and repetitive stuff, thought it was pretty good. I learned some things. I didn't realize the extent of the rivalry among the main industry players back then.

I had read about this previously, so, I ended up DVR-ing both parts 1 & 2, which I'll watch today, so I can fast forward thru all the commercials and recaps. I've heard it was pretty good otherwise and The History Channel often repeats shows, so for you guys who missed it, it'll be on again. Check your local listings.

YES! I saw that and think a couple of other shots were in the filming. I suspect if it was a 4bbl, it must have been an incorrect prop. No 4bbl's until much later. Dennis

History they note is common in any book on history of US auto industry. A Ken Burns type of documentary - not. More like a low grade B movie

Great show, have the DVR set up to record the series.
If you haven't been to the site and his museum....it's a must see, the size and scope of Fords vision just amazing!

I'm watching too. As a car guy, disappointed. For the layman, it's probably ok. Like how Chrysler rolls up to Ford in (supposedly) 1927 or so, in a 'new, state of the art Chrysler prototype'....and it's a 1913 Buick, with brass all over the place, gas lights, etc. And then a LaSalle is shown as a Chevrolet...and on and on. They jumped directly from the introduction of the Model A directly to Pearl Harbor.....completely omitting the V8, The model B, and the really pretty Edsel designed '33-'40 Fords. No mention of Lincoln, the Zephyr, or the stunning '40-'41 Continental that Edsel penned. Zip....nothing. And in my opinion, some of Fords finest stuff, ever. Not covered. I'll keep watching it, though.
