Default Why so many Z06's for sale?

Looking to upgrade next year so looking at C7s and cannot believe how many Z06s there are for sale just look on this forum and they far out number anything else. I love everything about these cars but they are a little out of my range right now. Just wondering why so many for sale after a very short time period of ownership.

i agree, that and people unprepared for such a powerful car. insurance was about 40% more than a stingray and the tires same etc. add that to people used to putting their foot down like they're trying to crush a beetle and the oh sh*t feeling they get. the car is a supercar. i love mine but i went in with eyes wide open and knew what it was to own and drive one (coming from other high hp cars with much less sophisticated nannies).

I drove a Z07 A8 multiple times as well as bout 5 other C7's auto, M7 and even a pro-charged A8. I knew regardless of what model i picked it would at least be as powerful as the LT4 in the end.

Ever since Maryanne got her hip replaced, it's been really difficult for her to get in and out. Since we only enjoy the car on Sundays, I put it up for sale.

Maybe they're tired of it and ready for something new. ???

Maybe they wanted an ACR or a Ford GT or a GTR or maybe they want an AMG GT and need a place to park it.

There's a 101 possible reasons and not being able to afford it is at the bottom.. noobs

I have been shopping and the amount of Stingrays and Grand Sports
out number the Z06's by 4-1.
Z production was less than 7300 cars for 2017.

The Z's resale is better than the rest as well since the Z's are the most desired car of the bunch.

My insurance was about the same as my Stingray little to no mark-up.
I pay about 600 per year.

Who knows. Who cars. It's a car. People buy. People sell. People trade them in. I'll be doing the same next year and getting a Bentley or I might get back into a GTR. It's getting a bit difficult to get in and out of. Will prob go down in my Top 5 cars I've ever owned. But, people get older like me. Bones crack and **** and hey, we have to admit that Vette's are no longer for us anymore. But, while I have mine, I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of it.

I am looking for a Z06 and love my AMG GT-S and would not trade it for a Z. Bought the AMG and traded in a 997.2TT on it, was going to buy a 991TT but the AMG was just so much better all around.

I think the Z06 is a weekend car/toy. I love my car for what it is. If I bought it as a daily driver I would be trading it in. So much more comfortable vehicles out there.

I wouldn't, and haven't. While I've never had a long commute, I've taken the Z on a few longish trips, and have driven some of my prior Vettes all through Michigan winters.

My wife however, has a pretty challenging commute, and while she enjoys the hell out of driving the Z to work from time to time, she still has a fondness for her car with automatic braking, "vision" controlled following distance under cruise control, steering which will automatically pull you back into your lane if you start to waver, and on and on, in her rather harrowing rush hour commuting environment.

Never any complaints about ride quality in the Z, versus her "luxury car" and nothing to do with any sort of driving incompetence on her part. She's a very good driver, and has driven every stupidly-powered vehicle I've ever owned, since we've been together.

I've driven her commute a few times, and was absolutely challenged and blown away by the stuff she needs deal with every day.

It's a specialty car, not a practical car. For some the ownership fantasy is better than the ownership reality. Same is true for boats, motorcycles, and other expensive toys.....

That will highly depend on where you live, and what sort of winter conditions you need to accommodate. The Z is far from a great snow car, although I once had a buddy with a prior model (his only car) who put snow tires on every winter, and never failed to show up for work on time, with about a 40 mile commute each way.

yeah. me too i'm paying 850 agreed upon value 85k through NCM..

insurance is so regional. North of 800 credit score. no accidents or claims? and still the quote for stingray to Z06 was about 300 more per year. First thing asked was "not a Z06 is it?" I was thinking here we Z06 tax on top of corvette tax lol.

next closest was travelers maybe 1050 or so. With higher deductible though. But no mileage or driver restrictions (ncm I have at 3k per year but 6k was maybe 100 more?).
