2008 Z06 Black
2008 Corvette Z06 2LZ, Black. NEW PRICE: $24,500 firm
Odometer: 110,200
Bone stock- the only additions are a Mild2Wild switch, SkipShift Eliminator, and AUX cord professionally wired into the factory navigation system.
Exterior: 9/10
Interior: 9/10
For sale is my stock 08 Z06 2LZ with factory navigation and heated seats. 2008 features revised steering for improved feel and the new Tremec TR6060 six speed.
The good:
The original owner of this car was a man in his 60's. He is the CEO of a company in San Diego and drove it for just over 100,000 miles, and it was his daily driver. This car has been as well maintained as you could ask for- it was serviced at a Chevrolet dealer in San Diego for its entire life and has plenty of service records to prove it. I have the service records for the last five years to show the maintenance that has been done. All fluids have been recently changed and it has a new radiator.
The LS7 was rebuilt at 96k miles with forged pistons and fixed heads, so the exhaust valves will not be an issue. The rebuild was done professionally and cost over $14,000, and I have the documentation to provide specifics. I also recently replaced all four sway bar links (it is well known that the factory links are garbage) and the car is tight as it was the day it left Bowling Green.
It is a Southern California car and has never seen road salt or snow a day in its life, and is in excellent condition. I have posted pictures of the minor exterior and interior blemishes.
The bad:
The rear tires will need replaced soon. I haven't done burnouts or drifts, the tires are just wearing down and it could use a new set soon.
"Check coolant level" occasionally appears on the dashboard. I have had the car looked at by an ASE Master Mechanic, and was told that the condition of the coolant is nearly new, and the coolant level is just fine. I have not noticed any unusual temperature spikes in my 8300 miles of owning this car.
I bought it because I wanted to experience Corvette ownership, and I have loved every second of it. I do not want to sell this car, but I recently moved and do not have a place to store the car for the winter- it's in such good shape that it would be an insult to the car to store it outside. For someone looking for a reliable Corvette in fantastic condition but without the high cost, this is your car. It looks and functions the same as a car with half the mileage, but costs considerably less and I hope that someone else can enjoy this car as much as I have.
