New trailer
After renting, borrowing trailers for years, I decided it was time to get my own. I had a good idea what I wanted but debated going open vs enclosed. For background, I have dreams of traveling the country and racing at different tracks but the reality is I my time is limited and opportunity to do so are far and few between. For this reason, I decided on getting a nicer open trailer vs an enclosed. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved the enclosed as it would keep the car protected and clean but I'm not a fan of buying the cheapest model just to get my toe in the water so to say. If I end up using this more than I intend, I can always consider making the jump to a nice big enclosed unit.
The trailer is an Aluma 18' all-aluminum tilt bed 25th anniversary edition. It is 82" between the fenders with the taller rock guard, deck lights, locking utility box and unique wheels. I could care less about the deck lights and the special edition wheels but it's cool to have them. To my surprise, the lights actually do function well and allow you to see through the wheels to get the straps setup properly. I've recently had a spare wheel/tire mounted and a winch mount. I need to grab a good winch and battery to call it "ready".
The Z fits really well between the fenders but even with the tilt bed, I still needed my modular race ramps to avoid hitting the splitter. My procharged Trans Am should make it up without them but they are simple enough to drop under the bed and then back into the truck when not in use.
Some pics below. I picked up a new receiver since the drop on the one I had wasn't enough. It is nice and level now.

Mine did not have the deck lights, but I really liked my Aluma 8218 tilt. I only sold it to upgrade to an enclosed and often miss how easy it was to load up and strap the car down.

Sweet The Z looks like a trophy on that trailer. I like the lights. Great idea to travel and hit numerous tracks. Have fun.

Great trailer. Easy to load. T-Hooks in the frame slots is the method used to ship Corvettes from the factory.

OP,
On a side note I noticed you linked pictures from photobucket. Did you pay their fee or have they relented on charging to link pictures from other web sites? I stopped using them when they wanted to charge me $400 per year to link a few pictures each year.

Thanks guys! I'm headed to Pocono tomorrow for a SCCA track night. It will be my first road course experience with the car.
Thanks! Paid $7200.
I did not pay their fee. I had an existing account where I have been paying $25 per year. It is tied to my side business. Oddly I've just ignored their attempts to switch my account and it keeps working. I'm going to guess when its time to renew they will force me into a new plan. No way will I be paying their ransom money.
Thanks! Paid $7200.

I'm pretty sure I've seen posts about causing damage (wear marks) even with nylon straps due to constant movement of car on its suspension, angles of straps also allow some left/right-up/down movement (grit will get beneath strap contact point). Also, definitely need to cross strap to prevent too much side to side movement. (Old C130 loadmaster in charge of loading/tying down cargo-trailers, vehicles, tanks 24 yrs).

I haven't had an issue with the strap through the wheel method for many years but I like the T-hook method on the frame. Ordering a set of those!

Congratulations! Beautiful trailer.
I just bought the same trailer but a 2015 model. Previous owner upgraded the wheels and added a tool box. It's several hours away but is half the price of the anniversary so I had to grab it. I may add the bed lighting. Glad to visualize what my Z will look like on it. I was searching for a 20' but it looks like the 18' is plenty.
Enjoy!
