Racing a Lamborghini Huracan at Laguna next week
Trying out the Super Trofeo Lamborghini race series for one race at Laguna Sept 24 weekend.
They have a televised cool series in IMSA.
Hoping to race the Huracan at 24 hrs of Daytona @ Jan

I think there are a few guys in the Blancpain GT series who would disagree. The Huracan has won 3 out of the 9 races.

I would look over on rennlist forum and see if any of the teams there do a rental. Or maybe while your at Laguna, take the couple hour drive up to Petaluma and talk to the guys at TRG or go to Sears Point and talk to Flying Lizard or try Kelly-Moss Motorsports out of Wisconsin, they have a arrive and drive program.

Based on the entry list, it looks like you'll be in the #11 in the Am category. That's the only Prestige entry without a driver (currently listed as "TBD").
The Huracan Super Trofeo is an awesome car to drive. You're going to have a blast! It's just so damn fast and can put down lap times similar to the IMSA GTD (GT3) class.
Supposedly, Lamborghini is coming out with a Super Trofeo Plus for next year. I'm guessing the Plus will be for the Pro/Pro-Am guys and the Ams and LB Cups will continue with the current Super Trofeo.

The Huracan ST has more power but less aero versus the GT3 version. Also, I believe the tires are more narrow on the ST compared to the GT3.
If you go to the Lamborghini Squadra Corse website, they give stats and dimensions on both variants.
They made some nice software updates to the 2017s. The LEDs on the dash will now flash white when the ABS is activated. Blue is when the TC kicks in. This is on the ST, not sure about the GT3.

It makes good power & brakes are good but it's tail happy and way too much distance lock to lock in steering
The fast left hand sweeper after the corkscrew is challenging

You got it right, I'm in 11. Only one on my team driving car solo. Having fun, dropped 20+ Sec since Th. Trying to drop 4 more today

I agree about the lock to lock requiring high rotation of the steering. Hairpin type turns definitely require crossing the arms, so I'm imagine you're having to do that for turn 2. Are you having to cross arms for the corkscrew and the final turn as well?
The car is also sensitive to bumps. The car feels quite stiff, especially from a dampening stand point. Bumps in the track or hitting pronounced curbs wrong can really move the car around and make the rear end go all cattywompus if you're not careful. Being smooth and patient is key.
Good luck tomorrow and Sunday!

sounds like fun. What are your lap times?
