Wheel Finish? Poll

Wheel Finish? Poll
Which general C7 wheel finish do you prefer?
You have nickle-painted aluminum that would typically be associated with lower end cars, chrome aluminum which has been adorning fine cars forever it seems, however the younger crowd just aren't having it, then there's the black painted wheels which seem to be the craze as of late but who knows how long they will stay in favor and machine-faced aluminum.
Note: I was actually including a poll, however it only gives you 5-minutes to complete the poll before it times you out without one.

Depends on the car or truck. I don't think there is one color fits all. I have black on my GS which I love. I have polished aluminum on my truck which I love. I would not care for black wheels on my truck. Chrome plating is not for me on anything. I don't know if it the processes used today but chrome plating looks cheap to me. When I want a bright finish I would go with polished aluminum over chrome every time.

I like chrome but when I ordered my GS I stayed with the standard silver painted wheels knowing I could get OEM chrome wheels later for less than the cost of the chrome wheel option and still have the stock wheels. The look of the silver wheels has really grown on me and I'm not sure I still want to change them out.

Right now my vote is machine faced aluminum-however and I can't believe I am about to say this but black wheels are starting to grow on me for certain colors, esp. white and I had been a hard core black wheel hater.

I've only seen one C7 where I thought the black wheels looked good. It was a black on black Z06 that did NOT have the blackout package but had black wheels with a red stripe. The black wheels were highly polished, but not black chrome. Yeah, that one looked good. There were several other C7s at that Car N' Coffee with black wheels. Didn't like any of them. Silver paint, chrome, polished aluminum all work for me also, wheels painted the same color as the car.

Who the hell would go with BLACK.On this design...Must be a new fad?
Chrome on everything,Especially a Motorcycle..HA,Not anymore.
Then,Watkins Glenn Gray was born.Add CF Stripes,Red Calipers and Red Lined Rims with CHROME?? WRONG,BLACK..
It's all about the combo...

black is played out.
i'm currently digging the Pearl Nickel painted look. I don't love the multi-stage touch up process though these same wheels in black don't do it for me.
the stock base Z06 wheel is nice in black but who wants to clean those things .
i actually think if i ever had these wheels color changed i would go spectre gray. i think that would be best of both worlds. black racy looking but not black in the sun..
in the sun shine likes chrome (if that pic doesn't explain where they got the name "shark gray metallic" from lol)
out of the sun there's no mistaking it for chrome
certain colors or themes look good with black wheels. i've had them, just need a break for a bit lol

I typically would say I dislike black wheels, but on this combination with the red calipers I quite like it! Normally I'm a chrome guy!

For me it depends on the color of the car. For example: On a Z06 I am going to buy this fall or winter, it will be Torch Red and like the stain black with the red ring on the rim. For my Long Beach Red I preferred the Painted Aluminum stock wheels. The idea is that I don't want the wheels to jump out and take attention from the body of the car. In summary I think all the wheels available look good depending on the color of the body.

What poll? I just see a growing wall of words.
I'm a numbers guy. Show me the percentages.
It's not interesting to read a thread where people are saying I hate your choice, because there's a very strong possibility that I really don't like yours either.

For the longest time I was convinced I was going to stick with the standard finish silver wheels for my C7 order, but the more I looked at pictures of Torch Red cars the more I came to prefer the combination of black wheels with Torch Red, so at the last minute I changed my order to them (along with red calipers, which is another must have with black wheels). Black wheels fit in perfectly with all the black pieces on the car, especially since I ordered the carbon flash badge package too. On some colors I don't think black wheels fit though, if I were ordering a metallic red color I definitely would not go with black, I'd stick with silver.

I got black, it was the only acceptable option imo. I agree its a matter of the right color schemes. My issue was with all the black already on pretty much every c7, anything else sort of clashes.
Chrome is dated. I actually waited to buy a gs partially because the stupid chrome strip on the stingray grill was unacceptable to me. Plastidip could of made it work but as it stood it looked terrible imo.
I am 38, my dad is 61 and loves his chrome, so I get it.
