Default Transmission service today

I have almost 45K on my car. I went in for the 45K severe maintenance service which includes new brake fluid and transmission fluid.
They used 16 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF DEXRON HP (GM Part No. 19353429. They ran a cleaner through the transmission system after draining the old fluid, which flushed the cooler lines and cooler. It was quite a procedure. They filled with 8 quarts and ran the car through ***** and engine revs, etc. The mechanic drained the fluid and inspected it looking for contaminates and cloudy fluid. He then cleaned all the parts like the filter, and used compressed air to remove fluid from the all the lines and cooler. He stated he wanted every thing empty inside the transmission system. He then installed the remaining 8 quarts of fluid. He used my old filter, as it was in good condition. He then ran the car through his procedure again while it was on the hoist for about 10 minutes. Shifting and things like that.
He stated this is the same procedure used for cars with the shake shudder issue, but on mine, a good working transmission, uses a double flush instead of the triple flush with the shudder shake car.
He stated that he has done the triple flush on two other Corvettes that were requested by the owners. They did not have A8 issues. He is aware is the A8 issues and is prepared to do the procedure to replace TC and transmission, but has not had any C7s in our area bring their cars in for the issue.

Sounds like a great dealership. Can you share who it was? I'd drive to your part of the world to have a good mechanic, they all seem to suck in Las Vegas...

Sure. Bradley Chevrolet in Lake Havasu City, AZ. I just moved here last April. This is the best dealership experience I have had. The two mechanics they have working on Corvettes are really good. The key is this: They take pride in what they do and enjoy it! It really comes through.

I'm curious as to what the total procedure costs?

It's interesting the Mobil 1 web site does NOT show that "Mobil 1 A/T Synthetic ATF is of the ... quality level" of Dexron VI. (https://mobiloil.com/en/automatic-tr.../synthetic-atf).
When I called Mobil 1,(1-800-662-4525) I was told it is not for use in a 2014 Corvette A/T. I wonder if they do not want customers mixing Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF with Dexron VI. Perhaps a full flush is ok.
Mmmmm.....

Ha. That's what a simple oil change costs on my Porsche at the local dealer (of course, I won't pay that so I bought the reset software and cable so I can do it myself). One of the things I love about Chevys.

It's impressive that you have driven 45K miles in just under two years. That has to be a record for a Corvette

Yes. I would rather drive it than look at it.

But the Long Beach Red is so nice to look at.
Of course, I could be prejudiced...
