Default Gear change questions

I have a 2011 base with auto trans. I would like to change the gears to get a better launch and 60'. Is it easier and cheaper to change the ring and pinion or get a z06 rear end and swap? If the z06 swap if the way to go what all do I need and does if have to be a 2011 z?
What ratio do you guys recommend for better launch but good drivability?
Thanks in advance for the info. You guys are the best

Call next door to RPM Transmission in Indiana (near Indianapolis). They are the experts and can give you whatever you need.

It's a lot less expensive and far more effective to swap to a higher stall converter. A 3.42 gear will drop your 60' time about .10 for somewhere in the $1500-2000 range. A 3200 stall will drop your 60' about .15 for $900-1200. For the same price a 3600 stall is good for .25 or a 4000 will get you over .30. I've had all three from Yank, so I can speak from first hand experience. Currently cutting 1.48-1.50 60' times with 2.56 gears in my LS3 bolton car.
The 3200 on the street feels like it should have from the factory, while the 3600 drives a bit more different and the 4000 will take a bit to get used to in town. Highway is the same as stock with any one of the three.
BTW, Yank will re-stall anyone you buy to a different speed for free within the first year.

Thanks for the info guys. I have thought about the converter but concerned with the shock it will cause to the other components. Need to keep it reliable as we take her on long trips. Just got back from a 3255 mile trip to Maine.

I installed a 3200 at 55K miles, then swapped to a 3600 at 72K miles, and then to a 4000 at 111K miles. I currently have nearly 150K miles on the car with no problems with the transmission, axle, or converters. My average road trips are in the 5000 mile range, as the car has has been in 47 States, is my DD, has close to 500 1/4mi passes, and has been places where 99% of Corvette drivers would never go.
The only road trip problem of significance was 12 days and 900 miles after delivery when the alternator died. We were back on the road in about 36 hours to complete the remainder of our 5500 miles trip.

Don't let fear stop you from enjoying the car and our great country.

Converters don't add shock to other components. If anything they soften it.
BTW, a 2.56 gear at 75 mph in 6th gear is at 1614 rpm. A 3.42 is at 2164 rpm. AKA 34% more fuel on road trips.

Other than Norwalk and National Trails, what tracks are still open near you? I'm ex-BG area resident back when Shelby Co (Sidney), Van Wert, Toledo, Kettlersville, and Dragway 42 were active.
