Anybody know how many DB's our cars are?

I'll be there on Monday... stock '18 Grand Sport. My plan is to short shift going up the hill between Turns 5 and 6 to try and appease the sound gods in the morning sessions, then give it everything in the afternoon. If I get black flagged over 92dB I will not be returning, but hopefully it stays under (I hated not being able to drive at Laguna Seca in my other car).

Anyone figure out how to beat 90db on track?

Checked mine this morning 129.2db . This was full throttle in driveway with meter 3 feet behind car. Car is supercharged, ported exhaust manifolds and eBay xpipe.

You're overthinking it. Do you have straight pipes or something?? Hood exit exhaust?

I was able to make it through the day using Track mode, but was well off-throttle (and in 5th gear) going up the hill between Turns 5 and 6. In the last session I did some full throttle 4th gear runs (about 6k rpm going under the bridge) expecting to get the meatball, but didn't. Honestly I think they were napping, but it gives me hope for driving at Laguna Seca again in the future with the Corvette.
Sorry I missed you. Saw your car towards the end of the day, but I'm thinking you were in a debrief (or found some shade).

I was in Group C. Blue GS with the white stripe and red fender hashes (car #880).
I'm still using the stock pads, but swapped out the fluid to Castrol SRF a few weeks ago. This was only my third track day in the Grand Sport (and my first back at Laguna Seca since 2013) so I went fairly easy on the car. The GS is faster than I am at this point... so still trying to get more consistent hitting my marks, but I'm slowly building-up my confidence.
Nice! I've done the Level 2 course at Spring Mountain and will be going in December for the Corvette Owner's School. Any plans on getting your car back out on track? I'll be doing two days at Sonoma in a few weeks, and hopefully another two at Thunderhill later that same week.

I need to get the brake situation resolved, then yes I'm going to get back on the track. HOD has a couple of events down this way, so I'll try not to miss them. Love the admiral blue; was my second choice!

I run in stealth mode and have no problems. I blew sound once, but I forgot to take it out of track "engine sound management."
I will see you guys out there 😀
