Useless post.

I run Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 and am very happy with them.

Do you have a Z or a GS? Michelin shows them being available in the larger sizes but they seem to be a ghost with the tire shops.

I just looked on the Michelin website and Tire rack website, neither of them show any kind of AS or winter tire for the C7 GS/Z06.
But the Michelin site sometimes has sections that contradict each other, can you post a link to where they claim to have the widebody AS or snow tires?

I run this setup as well on my Z51. Cray Spider wheels. It handles great even in snow.

Tirerack says $325/ea for the fronts and $400/ea for the rears. Is that pretty accurate?

And how are they during fall/spring or do you exclusively use during winter?

Thanks!

Yes, pretty accurate. I got a great deal through another owner local to me for which I am grateful.

I run them from around mid-October to May 1. We can get surprise snow that early and that late in the season. They are ok on bare and dry roads but I'm certain all-seasons would be better if I didn't need/want them so I can drive on the snow. I have a truck for the sloppy days. My paint is still perfect after two winters of choosing my driving days wisely; some of the most fun I've had is in a fresh snowfall.

There isn't a perfect solution for the rear tires on the GS or Z. I am researching it as well. The web site below has a lot of good info on tires.

You might want to define the snow driving mission - the wide tires and relatively light weight of a C7 coupled with not a lot of ground clearance will make driving in any snow that is wet and heavy pretty tough; probably not too bad in the powdery stuff.

OK, there are exactly zero snow tires. There are several all season tires available for the base and Z51. But make no mistake, they are NOT snow tires. They work when the temp gets cold, they will work on very light packed snow or slush. But they are not, nor do you want to be out in, real snow with them on a C7.

And I have no idea about sizes for the GS/Z06.

A fwd Carola on real snow tires would make mincemeat of a C7 in snow.

I guess mine magically appeared on my car? Just because Tire Rack doesn't have them doesn't mean they don't exist.

Tire Rack's website shows the Michelin Alpin PA4 as a winter/snow tire, currently available in both base C7 and Z51 sizes.
And of course the AS3+ All Season.

Here's a pic of our C6 when we got up after a night of snow in central Illinois. The roof was clean when we stopped last night, so you can see how much snow fell while the car was parked. We made it through about 50 yds of virgin snow to get out of the parking lot. On those horrid All-Season tires. I wouldn't intentionally get into that situation, but the forecast was wildly inaccurate and we had little choice.

A Corola also beats a Corvette when you need to carry four people, but that's not the point.

Not sure how many posts got off-topic/question.... you asked about Z-51

For the limited and accidental snow driving I will do with my 2015 Z-51, I opted to put Michelin AS 3+ ZPs on.... am running them year around. Snow tires per se....NO.... but they will work in cold weather and the risky days I decide to venture out in during Winter months.... and they are ZP .... just in case!!! I find the ride and street/highway handling to be fine.... far quiter than PSS factory tires and more versatile in other than perfect/dry conditions.

Of note, Costco carries them (order online, free ship to store) and they did a flawless job mounting them.... nitrogen and all!!...LK

The Michelin Alpin PA4 is now available in sizes for GS and Z06.

You're right about the Michelin site. I navigated some back door way where it showed the Alpin being available in the stock Z sizes. I even printed the info sheet to shop around with. Now if I use the drop downs for the Z on the main page only the SS & PS Cup come up. Oh well...
