Many like the Corsa Sport. A little pricey but with no drone. Be careful buying cheap mufflers, the will drone to no end and it gets old.

The Extrems are cool but again most will tire of the presence.

I have the Corsa Sport on my 2001 Z06 with LG long tube headers and x-pipe. It will wake up the dead when you stomp it above 3500 rpm but can remain pleasantly docile around town and absolutely no drone at any speed. With a custom tune and airaid intake it runs extremely well and can still pull 33 mpg at 70-85 mph through mountain roads in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. It provides a sportscar quick revving type sound. NO DRONE!

In comparison I have a 2008 base C6 with Billy Boat PRT axle back exhaust and no other mods. A deeper more American muscle car idle. More sound inside the car at light acceleration than the Corsa. Actually a droney resonance pulling hills under any increased throttle. Even 25-35 mph with light acceleration. Drone is present from around 60-67 mph even at steady speed on flat ground but goes completely away by 70 right up beyond any legal U.S. limit.

Both BBE and Corsa are well made and fit easily without issue. I personally like the Corsa 3 1/2 inch tips better. The 4 inch Billy Boat round tips just look out of place to me and they sit lower which again looks a little odd. Of the two I definitely prefer the Corsa, but I am also the guy that prefers a D&D 2 into 1 exhaust on a screamin eagle 110 Harley as opposed to most all noise and no boys 2-2 open pipes a lot of guys seem to love.

Yep Corsa sport here too they sound like a corvette should and no drone.

I'll recommend the 3" inch by the way.

Default Headers

If you go with headers you will definitely need a custom tune to gain anything and probably just to clear the codes. Once you spend the money for headers you'll want the new x-pipe and mufflers. Probably a breather filter upgrade. Who is doing the installation? Get out your check book.

Not sure about install. I'm in Canada. There is a corvette specialist close by that i'm thinking of going to. I figure i'm looking at $4000 front to back.

Mike are you an Auto or M6 tranny? An do you have any plans for the car later on like headers or cam? An do you like a your exhaust mild/medium, loud or very loud? Do you mind drone (popping sounds) or not?

Just looking for a nice sounding exhaust. It's an auto.. not to loud. .

Corsa Sports then, stock is so silent.

Just enough presence for enjoyment.

The addition of long tube headers will make the car sound a bit more like a hot rod, and will add good torque.

I do get a lot more pop and cackling out of the Z06 C5 with the Corsa than the C6 with BBE exhaust but I attribute that to the Z having headers, no cats, 3" x- pipe and running a little rich. The pop and cackling Is ONLY DURING DECELERATION! This is not drone. BBE cost $1159, Corsa was $1350. for comparison.

Mike what I think is keep an eye on the Parts for sale section and you may come up on something really good. Make sure you get it for the 05 to 08 vette. DO NOT get a Z06 system as it will no line up unless you change the Mid-pipe to a Z06 also. But that being said the Z06 system is 3" and people with auto tranny have problems with them fitting and/or clearing lines and tranny in the back. Now here's the money shot. the question is are you going to do headers later on down the road?? If yes I would look at the Bi-Mode/NPP Mufflers stock (find pretty cheap) $300 to $550 and add $200 for the NPP in a box kit (get the EZ tap) $750 total, B&B Fusion with the Mild to Wild set up cost around $1800 or Hooker Blackheart with Bi-mode NPP option for $1250 and at $200 for the NPP in a box total $1450.

If no headers later on I say from what your saying. It depends on your budget and what you like. But you can look at the Bi-Mode/NPP Mufflers stock (find pretty cheap) $300 to $550 and you don't have to add the NPP in the box and the valves will just stay open, SLP Powerflo around $700, SLP loudmouth 2 (if you add headers it's going to drone and may have a little drone out the box) $750. Now if money is no object Look at the Billy Boat RPT around $1200, Corsa Sports and Borla Touring/Sports both around $1400 to $1500. I hope this helped you out. If anyone wants to add to it go ahead. Just don't do a Blowmasters (Flowmasters) exhaust. LoL

Default cutouts

I'am thinking of exhaust cutouts on my 06 LS2. Do any of you guys have those on your vettes ? If so any comments ? I'm leaning toward to cable type. Thanks
