Am I getting a good deal?
about to buy a used 2017 grand sport 1lt with 4K in options for a selling price of 55k and 8000 miles. Is this a good price???? Or should I buy new for 57,500 and no options on that one. The new one is a automatic. Thanks!!!!

Kinda hard to tell with what little info you are supplying.

If you don't think you will use the PDR it might be worth buying the newer one. Also what is the interest rate on new vs used (assuming you are getting a loan)?

so PDR and 8-speed paddle shift. That seems to be an A8 which is an $1,700 option. If that's the case both the used and new ones are automatics which gives you a $2k difference in price :
- $55K for the 1lt with 8k Miles and PDR
- $57K for a new 1lt and no other options
It's subjective but $2k and 8K miles is small difference. Assuming you can verify maintenance on the used car, I'd go with the one that the gives you more of what you want and you won't have any regrets over.
It took me 8 months to put 8k miles on my car but then I drive it every day. If you can derive how long it took the previous owner to put on those miles you'll know if it was pampered or a daily driver which may help sway you. b
Your original question was "Am I getting a good deal". So, on the used car, getting a GS with only 8k miles and PDR for 55k is ok but you could argue depreciation for more off. There's no way to know what the original owner paid (?) so you have to go based on MSRP. of $69k.
Getting a new GS for 57k when the MSRP is $69K seems like a deal - $13K ( 18% off).

Unless there's something you haven't disclosed, don't need to think about this one. New is worth the $2K with $2K less options.
With regard to the used, have you looked at the GM warranty service record available at any GM dealer (you might have to pay for it)? I'd want to know why a 2017 is sitting on a used car lot. It might be legit or it might be a problematic car that was bought back, or traded to get rid of it. You want to know why it was traded. Don't trust the sales guy with his story that begins "most likely....." Carfax frequently doesn't have all the repair records.
Hope this helps.
Just an FYI, I bought used so I'm all for buying used, but I'd want to save more to justify used.

I'd buy new, save money and get an M7 but spring for a 2LT. I would not have a car without HUD, front cameras ( difficult to park near a wheel stop without,) memory seats (getting out of a C7 is much easier with the seat fully back, up front and back and wheel fully up.). Other options that come with a 2LT are nice to have like button to open garage door and the upgrade in interior.
But that is what I would do.

Those options are useless to me!
