That's about what I heard when I ordered my '18, gotta admit I was a bit surprised by that ratio. From the feedback I've had so far, I think whenever I do want a new one, mine will be a desirable car. I plan on tracking the car a bit, so I spec'd it as a nice combo between street and track use, so far so good. I'm not a drag racer, so for road course use, I think the M7 is a better choice, even not considering the temp issues some guys have had with A8's on the track, plus, I really can't see having anything other than a manual for a sports car.

I agree this M7 with rev match is awesome. So much fun to drive. As far as build I went with a 2lz as I consider it the sweet spot for options and had to have memory seats. Also did Z07 because of the looks as well as not wanting to compromise on the track. The ride is fine for me as I've driven much harsher rides.

I did the 2LZ also, but after doing some research on the Carbon brakes decided to go instead with the Carbon Flash ground effects and added on the Performance Aero kit to get the Level 3 aero. I had previous experience with the Cup 2 tires, great on track but not so much on the street, especially in the wet, so I stuck with the Super Sport 2's. Was planning on the Competition seats, but I wanted 2 tone which isn't available with the Comp seats, so I stuck with the GT seats, I really like them so far. For track use, I think the car will work great, I have a few mods planned, the first being an MGW shifter, had one in my C6 GS and it was fantastic. After that, CAI, Tune, pulleys, Granatelli coil packs and wires, and possibly long tubes and x-pipe, but that will all come next spring. I went with the Spectra Gray wheels, they pretty much match the Carbon Flash and the machined lip sets them off a bit and goes well with the Blade Silver. I'll use a set of Blade wheels and Cup 2 tires for track. I noticed the Saleen in your post, great cars, I've had 2 of them myself, #89-699 and #95-099, the '95 being a 1 of 2 cars like it.
Some dealers offered 15 to 17+% off 2016s... and will be doing the same with 2017s shortly, which kills resale value; plus they build a boatload of them. I think many will be disappointed when they decide to sell, or trade, their C7 regardless of the transmission type. The winners will be those purchasing low mileage “used” C7s.

The number of Z06's are low in inventory compared to other years discounts will much less in general than 2016.
IMO if you bought a 1LZ at around 15% off which was possible with dealer discount + loyalty and you got this price EARLY in the model year: IE a 2017 in September 2016ish... and you keep the car for 3 years roughly, I think you are going to come out pretty darn good.

Thank you, I'm pretty happy with the choices, and I've had a ton of positive feedback on it so far. I have the Jake Hood Stinger, I see you have either that or black, I like the look with the Silver. My C6 GS was Cyber Gray and had the Comp Gray wheels, and I considered Watkins Glen Gray for the '18, but that's a couple shades darker and I couldn't decide on a wheel choice to compliment it. In retrospect, I'm glad I went with Blade Silver, as there are at least 2 Grand Sports and a ZO6 running around in my area in Watkins Glen Gray, but I'm the only Blade Silver other than 1 Z51 convertible.
