Default Sold the house, hello RV

Sold the lake house here on Lake Palestine Tx. Looking now for a Diesel Pusher RV and an enclosed car hauler. Going to tow the ZR1 and go exploring as many Corvette shows and meets as we can. Looking forward to visiting the Museum, running the track and touring the plant.
Of course we will hit the big events like Carlisle, Las Vegas and Miami, But we also want to visit smaller shows and meet new friends.
If your club hosts a show let me know. We are going to put places and dates on a map and get in as much fun as we can.
Plan on hittin the road after the new year...
Might even start up a YouTube channel featuring all the shows.
Hopefully we can meet some of our Forum friends and see those awesome Vettes!
Will keep ya posted. Thanks all !!

Yes only home, I retired 4 years ago. Fished almost every day for the first two years.
Now my wife will retire and we will be full time in an RV.
So if there is a nice Corvette show in San Diego we would love to put it on our schedule.

I'm envious for sure. My plan is to retire a bit early and do something similar. Though I'll always want a modest home to come "home" to.

More power to ya and have fun! A lot of people do that when they retire.

That life isn't for me though. I'm 67 and haven't been more than 50 or so miles away from home since 2006 (haven't been out of NYS since 2003) and that's just fine. I like my own property, bed, living room, and familiar surroundings.

I'm self-employed at home, still enjoy doing it, and will continue until I'm no longer physically able.

Sulfur Springs Tx will be home. It will just be in an RV park. Near Lake Fork... still love to fish.

Good luck in your retirement, maybe I will meet you if you are ever near the Pittsbugh, Pa area, we have lots of weekly car cruises here...stop by & I will take you bass fishing ( although they won't be Texas size!! )

Sounds like a plan. My Dad lives in Elizabeth Town. I have a cousin in Pittsburgh I'm planning to visit.

I RV'd for about 16 years class C to class A. Full timed for about 4 years. A 40' pusher and 20' trailer makes for some tough parking in some RV parks.
I had 3 rules.
1. Chk list
2. Out by 9 In by 5
3. If you dont use it in 6 months... Get rid of it.

You need a good set of tools and on board air. Yes you can use the pusher air but a small portable is what used.

As I recall the Plastic Fantastic in/on San Diego harbor is around late May. You can also plan on Ocean City, MD's Corvettes on the Boardwalk in mid-October. Just finished this weekend. Of course, the Bash in late April by which time the Plant may/should be open for tours again---check w. the Museum staff---they know. Carlisle in late August (very late). Bloomington Gold is in late June in Illinois. Mid America Funfest is in late Sept. in IL, too.

Have a great time!

If you're ever in Toronto (in the summer of course) we can hit one of the local shows, we'll be in two of only a handful of ZR1's.

Congrats Choppy....don't forget there is the show in Hot Springs, Ark I think April, one in Jefferson, Tx, and then Eureka Springs, Ark (1st weekend in October).

The local Corvette club here in Texarkana also has a show usually May or June. Will let you know as soon as I find out.

Have fun.
