Barn find 1960
How much do you think this 1960 automatic transmission Corvette is worth? I don't have much info on it but certainly doesn't look like original engine. Probably lots of other modifications based on what's in the trunk.

The answer would depend on the unknowns being known. Original engine? Tranny? Frame rust free? Two tops? Assuming that it is a solid, tired car, decent interior with NOM I’d say $45,000.

From what the pictures show, it's pretty rough. Why the inner fender was cut out, who knows. Compared to what's available out there right now, I'd say $30K at the very most and only if it has a rust free frame.

I also notice CA VIN tag. if that VIN number on teh tag isn't a Corvette VIN #, that is a hit on value.

Probably had fender well headers at one point. I would get underneath and make sure the rear end and other things that get swapped out when they are raced are still there. Small steering wheel, aftermarket seat upholstery, rusty surfaces. I'm with 1snake. $30K.

Thanks. Yeah I could see that it's quite a project and not sure yet if I want to undertake. I bought my 100% original and numbers matching '62, in around the same condition for mid-$20s.

If the frame and other unde stuff is OK, it looks like a nice good SOLID project car.
$30K on top of what it is bought for would make it really nice, if you do your own assembly/disassembly and prep work.

I'm with Doug. It's going to need everything, especially once you get it going.
Still looks like a fun project.
I would be more comfortable around the 25K figure, and then I would probably lose it for not thinking it's value is higher.
A lot does depend up on so many items though.
A pic of the frame from the underside would be really nice. An inspection of the "kick ups" would be a must.
I gotta admit though...running across projects like these give me the jitters! I "NEED" to step back and give it an honest assessment of projected costs.

I think, a realist, would wanna be close to $25K cause, though it looks complete, everything looks like it needs to be done/replaced.
A dreamer is gonna pay more.... cause they don't know what they are getting in to.
You can find better cars that need less in the Mid $40s to Low $50s AND they should be in decent enough shape that you'd just need to tinker. If you have the money, pay it upfront and get the best car you can.
If you are looking for a project to make into a show condition car, figure Cost of the Car plus 25-50K$ depending on how much work you do yourself and how much paint cost ya.
Here is what is on CraigsList currently, for comparison

Was this a drag car? inner fenders look cutout. And heater missing parts or deleted? Even if the even does run is it usable (race engine)? I would say closer to 20k, Are you thinking restomod or driver or full restore? I would have a plan before you start... But the power windows are cool. If you get it cheap enough get a nice create engine, Buff the paint and drive it as is.

I would not pay over 20K. The unknown is going to cost you time and money

Thanks for the great info. Plan was for a restomod, but I will have to check it out in person, to see if I want to dive in or pass on it.

A restomod, is of course, a horse of a different color.
I JUST saw one yesterday (Here in Germany of all places) it was a 58 that was done up with C6 stuff.
If you haven't already, i'd make sure to plan out your restomod path before hand so you can do your best to stay on track and at least "close" to your initial budget. I would start a thread here at the forum asking for "C1 restomod lessons learned".
Things like that always go over in costs and in time, but if you have a realistic plan, you can at least minimize potential delays and at least "try" to keep focused on task.
Best of luck, and keep us in the loop.
