Default Tire change time...

Hello there

I got 2016 Z07 and it's time to change the tires, it got the cup 2 right now... car never been tracked and probably will only be a street car, what do you think should i go again with cup 2 or switch to pss ? i want a nice comfortable ride, and i do care about traction but not that much, i do want something in the middle...

what do you recommend?

any other brands?

I went with Michelin Pilot Supersports, non-RF's. I run 295/30/19 F and 325/25/20 R. Don't let the 325 fool you as its wider that the 335 stock PSS. Do NOT buy 345 MPSS as this size has high speed wobble issues.

I believe the PSS have more of a square profile, so the narrower tire has the same/similar contact patch width as the SC2. Someone can correct me if I'm mistaken.

No pics but you can research tread width on Tire Rack. I paid ~$1,050 a set during the 4th of July promo. I keep an extra set on hand at all times.

eBay and DTD are running $100 off $400 purchase. Use code PMOTORS17. Unfortunately limit 1 use per PayPal account. Find a friend and you can save some dough. Link through befrugal for another 1.5% off + eBay bucks = ~$1,225 a set.

295's here -> http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-NEW-295-30...x-ujwQ&vxp=mtr

325's here -> https://www.ebay.com/p/1-Michelin-Pi....c100005.m1851

I just put Continental extremecontact sports on. Rear sizes just came in stock. Two days in and I’m happy so far. They’re quiet, grip well and ride well. At $1200 a set, I’m sold for now. We’ll see how they wear.

I changed all four. I swap tires all the time between track and street. But my original super sports barely made 9000 miles. I could have milked another thousand or two but a front corded when the toe shifted on one side. Since a rear already had two plugs, I swapped them all for the Contis.

I am just about to change to my third set of stock PSS. Both sets gave me 25,000km (15000 miles) of perfect wear through some of the best enthusiast roads Canada and the US has to offer...no track time whatsoever on them.
