Are you saying your key does not open the hatch/trunk?
Is it hard to turn?

eta: just to clarify: the key turns a cable that pops open the hatch/trunk, and while it is not common, but not unheard of for this cable to become unhooked, and unable to open the hatch/trunk. If your key is turning freely, this is the most likely reason.

It's a catch-22 situation, as I do not believe you can do this without the hatch open. I don't believe there is a way in from the outside to access the cable. The cable is between the trunk tub and the outside shell.
Some have been able to pry the window open and jimmy a way to pull the driver's floor door pull, I even remember a post where a guy drilled a hole up through the floorboard and popped the lever open from beneath.
The best bet, now, is to jack the car up and charge it at the starter. I don't know the details, so please search for the directions if you do this before calling for a flatbed.
I wish I could help you better. Maybe some other more knowledgeable night owl is prowling about. Good luck!

Whew!
eta: that doesn't address why you couldn't get in with the fob, however.

Edit: nevermind, you guys sorted it out while I was typing (kinda slow tonight).
Why couldn't you get in with the fob?

demasterz, time to change the batteries in your keys. They usually give an indication that they are going by not being read consistently when you start up. Glad you were able to get in.
