Long Distance Purchase Made Easy
I wanted to share my experience with my stress free internet purchase. I had reached out to Mike Furman over a year ago with questions about the corvette. He responded was quick and detailed. Mike’s quick and detailed email response was my first indication of his commit to the customer and his compassion to the brand. At that time he even called and discussed my wants for a new car. I indicated to him at that time, I was I just not ready to make the commitment for a purchase. He asked when I did make the commitment that I give him a chance to assist me with my goal. That ended our direct contact. That no pressure approach is my main reason that I contacted Mike a few weeks ago. I selected one of the many (the hardest part of the deal – his selection maybe be too large) and we agreed on a purchase of a 2017 GS.
After a five hour drive I was able to take delivery and meet Mike in person. He and all the staff at Criswell made my wife and I feel like longtime friends. If you think from following Mike on the forum and his webpage, that he is passionate about corvettes, then meeting him person and be amazed with his knowledge and history. Mike is a “no pressure” sales consultant and will assist with any way he can. Thanks Mike - Jim

Jim, congrats on your new purchase! (Post a pic, please, when you have time.) My purchase experience with Mike Furman was just as easy, with no pressure, and lots of fun along the way. He's my go to guy for life now!

Drifting
Just did the same thing except with MacMulkin. Drove 6 hours each way. 3rd vette and 1st time I ever did this. Local area didn't have what I wanted.
Would do it again in a heartbeat.
Great choice in color.

Congratulations. I also bought mine online from a big name GM dealer which was 6 hours away from my city (drove 12 hours there and back). Saved about $7000 and got a manual transmission by going out of the way. All the dealers in my city Calgary, Canada as well as Edmonton and Lethbridge were quite rude to me and were telling me there was no way I was getting such a good deal without it being a scam. It wasn't a scam

Congrats. I had pretty much the same experience with Amoni at Kerbeck when I bought my 14 C7 vert in February, 13 2014 from 2,500 miles away. Far and away my best car buying experience -- and I've been doing this for a while. (I'll be 73 on Christmas.)

I post this a lot:
When I tell my friends that “I bought it from Mike at Criswell in Maryland” and my friends up here say “why did you go all the way down there?”, I tell them that I’m an easy sell, but when something goes wrong, I want a guy with 40 years of vette experience in my corner.
There aren’t any follow up questions from my friends after that
