Saw that. They'll take a run at it in the spring, but Tadge says, "it's not a priority".

Hmmm......interesting.

Make the ZR1 reveal on the international stage in Dubai, in front of an audience where Ring times carry much more importance than in the U.S., but can't be bothered to post a time for this dedicated track car?
Yahhhh...
How true.

The Dubai reveal, for better, for worse, is the first place the car is shown publicly with its camo off. Given that it was the FIRST PLACE the car was shown without its camo, why is it a surprise to anyone that GM doesn't have a 'Ring time to publish yet? Do you think they're going to do any final engineering work at the 'Ring with the body camo still on the car?
Have they ever done that final engineering tuning at the 'Ring with body camo on any of their previous Corvettes?
Answer: no, they haven't. They've always waited until after the car has been introduced publicly before heading to the 'Ring for the final engineering validation. Specifically so they can run the car at speed, sans any excess camo or whatnot.
Think, folks. It's not a difficult thing to do. Really.

I think some folks need to revisit their "Critical Thinking 101" class. Let's go, shall we?

Post on Oliver Gavin's (#4 Factory C7.R driver) Instagram page. His comment confirms that they want to go back in the Spring.
"I've now had the pleasure of driving the ZR1 twice at the ring. Taming this beast around the 14mile / 22km circuit, with 755bhp, was amazing fun! It was also great to work with the Corvette engineering group on the testing and development of the C7 ZR1. Hopefull we'll be going back to the Ring sometime Spring 2018."

Were their factory stock Corvettes that were track worthy at all or are we just expecting to much out of a street production Corvette and yes I know Tadge called the C7 Zo6 the best factory stock track car ever.

The grand sport seems to be track worthy. And the base model should be.

That wrap will cause aero disturbances, even if just a bit. And if they tried to pass that run off for their time, people would jump all over them saying, "That's not a production unit!" etc, etc, etc ad nauseam.
