What year C4 do you have? Are these the rebuilt injectors? I am contemplating changing my 1985 originals with the rebuilt stock 24lb. injectors. I hear good things about them.

96 and yes they are rebuilt. I saw 24lbs but forgot the price. Sale runs until the 25th, but I'm sure there will be a Christmas sale. Sign up for emails, they send them out when they have a sale

My experience with that company is not great. I had a set of injectors go bad, that had a two or three year warranty. They went bad in less than a year. Called them, told me to mail the injectors. I get no updates telling me what is up with the injectors, not a word. So I call them a few days later. They tell me"your injectors are bad" I knew that, that's why I sent them to you. "A new rebuilt set will cost you $200." I asked, but what about that warranty? Them, "yeah this doesn't cover that." I don't go out my way to break ****. So I asked them why not. No response. I needed my car back on the road, so I paid them there $200. Buyer beware of their "warranty"

What had failed on the injectors?

The ohm numbers were not in spec. They would read about 2 ohms off on some injectors.

Arrghhhh.....

For 2 years I've heard nothing but positives about FIC....after I buy a set of injectors, now I hear negatives about them....

I guess going forward I'll have to ask the forum about products/companies before I buy

assuming they're the same identical type.
. A couple ohms down from the rest (measured hot) clearly says to me they're in need of replacement...with NEW (STAINLESS!) Injectors.
. Cleaning & testing and flow matching is one thing, but does that make them "rebuilt"? IDK, and I never got a straight answer. Q: how can the internal actuator coils or the pintles be replaced?

I bought a set of Delphi's from them 5 years ago for my L98. Very satisfied with the quality and performance. Not 200 bucks but....

I mean no company is perfect, seems I am the only one that has issues with them. You should be fine. Thanks for letting us know about the sale

Still it is good that you let us know of your bad experience. Hopefully someone from FIC reads this and works to fix their customer service, even if it is just this particular case. I cannot think of what you could have done wrong to change the resistance of the injectors. Now you have me wondering how the ones I installed would read on my meter.

A : My guess is they cant be. Instead, you clean, and flow match, then clean the exterior of the injector body with Windex; then you make sure to have extras available in the event there is a complaint, and need to exchange one under warranty.

I don't have a dog in this fight and never dealt with FIC, but when asked about why the warranty didn't cover the bad injectors, they had no answer and then you paid them $200? What's the other side to the story?

I needed my car. I don't know how else to put it. They said"this doesn't cover that." Me, I asked why there is a warranty then. Their response, well I don't remember the details as it was over the phone. But they didn't want to cover it. Not sure why.

IDK. Not calling anyone a liar. This is my experience. I have a friend who has access to a test bench. I noted what was going out and what came back and retested. Did this random batch. So far, they reported what I found and came back and tested like they said.

From what was here, there is a 3 year warranty but it was denied. I'd like to hear what FIC's reason was and what was the fault.

I am not positive but when I ordered a set 6 months ago I mentioned the Corvette forum and got a 20% discount. Not sure we have to wait for a sale. Dan

I bought a set of 16 from them last month, told me no warranty if I run ethanol. I do not run ethanol so I should have a warranty. He told me many said they did not run ethanol but they showed signs of rust from ethanol, etc and warranty was denied. That is the probably the "rest of the story".

PS...paid $340 for 16 and customer service was great. He even followed up with a call to see how it went.

When he said "run ethanol" did he mean E85 or E10 or what?

I thought just about everywhere 10% ethanol was mixed with gasoline.

You can buy ethanol free gas at certain gas stations(WAWA).

He meant ANY ethanol. If you are running pump gas with 10% corn **** you NEED to run stainless injectors or they will fail.
