Bolt-on's and upgrades
I know this horse has been beat to death and there are a ton of opinions, but I'm curious if there are effective/efficient bolt-ons available for the Z06? Also, are they worth the price? I've been doing some research since I picked up my Z a couple weeks ago and the more I look, the more confused I get.

X pipe for sound
ported throttle body for better throttle response
BMS drop in filter for very cheap bang/buck
If you don't care about warranty than this list gets much much longer.
Enjoy the new Z.
Best,
Gene

Ultimately, I guess it would boil down to whether the price is worth the payout. A CAI that costs $1000 and only gives you 2hp at the wheels seems a bit wasteful. And that's what I'm trying to avoid. If a headers,x, and over axle runs $2000 and gives 50rwhp, then I'd go for that.

The cai in these cars don’t make much sence to me, the drop in filter to save some loot seems the way to go since the factory and aftermarket use the same design. Would like to hear from more people who did drop in filters rather than buying the same factory design cai.

Worthwhile mods that will actually get you REAL power is a CAI, Headers/X, lower pulley, meth and a good tune....Also Flex fuel/E85 if its available in your area..... All of this combined will net you 100+ rwhp on a bone stock engine.
This is a proven 650+ rwhp combo that you can do for $5-7k if you're paying labor.

I'd do a drop-in filter, ported TB, and MGW short shifter. I heard these 3 mods make the driving experience significantly different and very much improved.

Installed Halltech.
Halltech, Borla x pipe, Magnaflow axle back exhaust, Tony Mamo ported throttle body.
Here's the thread to my recent dyno.

Yep. That's why I'm sitting here debating between doing the BMS drop-in filter ($100), Halltech carbon fiber intake ($1500) for the bling but might need a tune, or waiting on the GM cold air intake (I'd guess around $600???) announced at SEMA this year.... I don't want to tune my car.

The first explanation is the AFE cold air filter have less restriction and air conduit is larger and increase air inlet into the stock blower. Without mass airflow tuning the air fuel ratio become leaner to correct the stock too rich air fuel ratio. The second explaination is the effect of 160 thermostat keep engine cooler and the engine computer ECM chose higher values in his spark tables. I assume colder engine coolant prevent also knock retard Higer Boost is present and make more power.
MORE AIR+LEANER AFR+MORE SPARK ADVANCE+MORE BOOST MAKE MORE POWER.
I do not sell any part, I am only a CORVETTE LOVER who like to go faster than similar corvette and all the other brands of stock cars. (HELLCAT, MUSTANG,CAMARO...)

I'm looking for upgrades that won't void the warranty. If you have some recommendations (and a black Friday sale😉 I'd be interested in hearing about them.
