Default American Heritage Heads 625hp 505tq on 91 pump

Well before I start telling you guys about my experience with Kohle, let me just say he is one of the most professional and dedicated individuals when it comes to their craft. This guy was super helpful through out the whole process and never once got upset about the multiple calls or emails I made, he was always patient and very receptive to my concerns and questions. That being said, him and AHP have a great reputation in the corvette world and it’s well deserved. Especial thanks also to my good friend Tom V. and tuner out of Izzy performace who did and amazing job with this car. The car is a max effort H/C/I car on 91 with a large cam and it drives phenomenal. Also hugeeeeee thanks to my man Michael Adams the mastermind who put the car together, based out of Bakersfield California. His shop “Michaels Vette Performance or MVP” has put out a bunch of high quality builds in the vette community where I reside. Now to the details, here is the build list enjoy folks... Izzy performace is in Gardena CA, they use a dynojet before you all start asking.

-AHP stage 4 heads with velocity port and milled .30 over
-Gm head gaskets compression 11:5:1
-BTR Stage 4 cam kit with btr .660 springs
-CHE trunnions
-Katech c5r timing chain
-Ati super damper 10%
-Katech manual tensioner
-Msd intake
-Nick Williams 102mm tb
-JBA 1 7/8” headers with 3” v-band x pipe
-Zr1 oem npp mufflers
-K&N intake
-Mighty mouse extreme catch can set up
-Stock injectors and fuel system
-Costco 91 unleaded
-McLeod Rxt Hd 1200

After 5 hours on the dyno, Tom was very happy with the numbers, he made some minor changes after to bump tq up a tiny bit. Look at that awesome linear graph, the way the rpms ramp on this thing is nuts. Car is an absolute animal, will be out soon to test car and get some real world data 1/4 mile times and 1/2 mile events are approaching soon...

Moral of the story, with a good parts list and an amazing tuner you can get awesome results with stock casting ls7 heads, Kohle thanks once again man.

Is there any reason you chose to stick with 1-7/8" primaries rather than 2"?

To be honest I didn’t have an unlimited budget, saw these headers on eBay and bought them with the matching x pipe for $650 shipped

Ditch that k&N cold air and slap on a Halltech CF112 system and you'll likely pick up additional power. We just had a car with similar specs as you (Katech K501 cam and 2" headers vs your BTR cam and 1 7/8" headers) and swapping from the K&N to the CF112 was worth 15 RWHP.

It’s what my tuner told me, that was another $300 purchase instead of the pricey intakes, but it definitely cost me some power. I will address a lot of stuff when I go flex fuel.

The car drives phenomenal for what it is man, most guys are discouraged in going with the larger camshafts because of the bucking effect at low rpms. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t drive like a stock car, it’s impossible with all the overlap this cam has. But it’s very tolerable and not bad at all, cruising speeds above 2k rpms are perfect. It does buck alittle below that but once you learn your car it will be golden. I rather give up a little low rpm drive ability for all the top end i gained.

Interesting that the whole dyno sheet isn't shown, no RPM, not the full graph, no A/F ratio, 489 tq vs 505 stated, no correction factor. hardly ever seen curves that smooth, even with SAE5 smoothing.

Nice build though.

I took it with the live feature on my iPhone, if you hold it and it plays live you can see the whole graph. I wasnt going to post, could care less about the numbers. The car drives like a dream and pulls harder than one of my friends mamo equipped z06. So yeah I’m happy, let me know when you in Ca and you can line up with it

Still not SAE corrected. Impossible. Enjoy the power as I am sure it has tons. Like Dave said. I have never seen curves that smooth ever as most of us have. Who fully ported the MSD? If you see a MAMO build with custom TFS heads and all the trimmings you get about that peak with way more tq for thousands more of course. Extreme tolerances etc. Have fun.

Very good build but the numbers are off, no offense im making 515 torque and I have a small cam 239/246- 565 515 either way numbers do not mean anything....as long as it drives good....i switched over to the msd ported and car feels torquier......
