Paint peeling at bumper corner/edge where it meets the fender - What's the fix?
Not really concerned and will touch it up, but while I have the bumper off for the Z06 grill is there a fix for this issue? Does the attachment mechanism need to be loosened? The C5's I'm used to had a bracket there with a couple bolts. The C7 seems to "clip" in place there.
EDIT - Thanks to this forum I now know too much The issue isn't just at the outer corner, but also inside the headlights where the bumper and fender meet. Looked there too and my passenger side is pretty bad, driver side has a tiny singly chip. Driver side outer lower part has been touched up once before apparently. Going to take the bumper to a buddy who does dealer lot repairs for some air-brushing when I do the Z06 grill swap.
Mine's a '14 with 44k miles that was well cared for my the previous owner.

I have the same problem on my 2017 GS w/black rose paint on the passenger side bumper to fender. I am waiting for a response from the Regional GM rep for fixing the problem under warranty. Chevrolet body shop manager said they will disassemble the bumper at that one edge, fix the paint peel problem then re-assemble. He said if I removed the entire bumper to repaint/clear coat that alignment and gaps would never be the same.

If still under warranty it should go to the dealer....most seem to be handling under warranty.

Sad GM hasn't fixed the issue even on brand new ones.

So basically there is no documented fix? I.e. a revised bumper bracket or install method? Fix is touching up the paint and moving on?

My dealer removed the fascia, fixed the area, prepped it properly and repainted it. Looks great! I'm taking it back next week to have a SERVICE BULLETIN done which specifies a piece of Mylar be inserted between the fender and fascia.

We should combine all these threads.

The dealer is repainting my front and rear bumpers on my 2017 GS (925 miles) and said he "must have done this on _20_ Corvettes already". There is a big problem here and GM needs to put out a TSB.

I was given this number as the reference for the fascia repair by another Corvette owner on the Corvette Forum; 8-3241672237. I don't know exactly what GM would call this number; Job number, Repair Number?

I just had mine repaired. Took 10 months for Chevy to take care of it though. I have the TSP. I should be allowed to post it, correct? I mean, there are a lot of people who need this. Didn’t know if there is some forum rule or something about posting TSP numbers.
