Radar Detectors are becoming extinct with tons of cops only using laser now, and the issue you have with false alarms from other cars safety systems/blind zone alert etc. I guess brand new ones dont have this, but if cops use laser a detector is useless...
regardless, with or without Waze is the way to go...the more people that use it and spread the word about it, the better its gonna work

Depends where you live. I rarely get a Laser warning, mostly from the taillights of German cars. My V1 however saved me yesterday, picked up radar from an approaching police cruiser. I was only going about 5 MPH over so he probably wouldn’t have stopped me anyway. But at least I had time to drop down to the posted speed limit so there was no chance of getting a citation. I’m happy with my V1.
If you'r going to go with a Escort, do the Max 360c. I just upgraded from the 360 to the 360c, primarily for the size difference. But the 360c is loaded with a ton of features.
Mine just shipped today after an almost 2 month wait. I assume that they are so back ordered because they have become so popular.
I got mine on sale early last month and only had to wait a week. It's pretty bad *** and according to the reviews and testing is one of the best. It has 360 coverage, detects all known bands including Instant On and Laser, SPECTRE photo and red light detection and easy to set up. I found a website that shows what different bands are used in my state to help set up the filtering to minimize false alarms.
