Default Heavy on pics/ZR1 WOW week/Barn find pics~12/10/17**Mike Furman@Criswell 301-212-4420

~Some weeks you just pack more into then others. Take this past week. Not only did I have deliveries at the dealership but I also have them being drop shipped thru out the Country as the 2018 Corvettes got released from the plant Monday. Then on Tuesday I went to the LA Auto Show and travelled 6,000 miles in 24 hours. Back at work on Wednesday which is when the 2018's started arriving at Criswell. Thursday set up for my Saturday morning deliveries of which I did 7 before Noon...not to mention it snowed a couple of inches Saturday. Very unusual this early in the year as Maryland is not the snow capital of the USA. Below is the youtube video that JW filmed on Tuesday. The LA Auto Show was outstanding as I met up with close to 100 Corvette customers from all parts of North America...and got to view the 2019 ZR1 up close. Thank you to all that attended and made such a great effort to be there.

~2019 ZR1 pics from the LA Auto Show Tuesday Dec 5th.

~Spotlight one delivery*

~ERic P. Of Washington, DC (and France) was in for an oil change on his NightRace Blue/Kalahari 2014 Corvette that he ordered from me and had one look at this 2017 GS Convt Collectors Edition and that’s all it took. Vin #456 is 1 of 953 Collectors Editions....1 of 151 Convt’s and of that number it is 1 of 50 with Competition Seats! Equip list includes Auto trans, Z25 Coll Edition pkg, 3LT and much more. ERic and his son may not be putting the top down today but sometime soon for sure. Eric wrote me of his safe arrival home and he is thrilled with his new Corvette.

~Other deliveries that left the yard.

~This Gentleman and his wife flew in from the state of Washington to view a selection so that he could properly place a factory order for just the right Corvette he is seeking. I took him for a test drive or two. More pics at his future delivery date.

~The very first of many Corvette truckloads arrived Wednesday. First one since the beginning of plant re structure this Summer.
Kai Spande the Corvette Plant Manager had told me months ago there would be new Build sheets and below are some pictures.

~The Frank Class Barn find/Throwback/old Corvette ad section. Post up which picture is your favorite this week.

~Monday I stopped by Tony's Corvette shop as he did some last minute check over on my 67 Corvette Cpe before the Winter set in. I always like to take pics in and around his building. I'm very fortunate his shop is only two miles from my house...and Tony only lives one mile from me.

Travel Safe. Have a great week.

Thanks for the great write up and the pictures from the LA show. I liked the pictures of the new arriving Corvettes. Were you able to inspect the fit and finish of the new cars from the new plant?

Yes I did as the whole truckload were my sold orders. Certainly well worth the wait!

What great collection of pics Mike - I love all of the old ads as you know - favorite car is that '67 at the salt flats....as for snow, we have 2 feet on the ground and another 6" on the way today - yikes!

I recognize a few of those faces pictured, having met some of you at the bash this past spring. All are great ambassadors of the Corvette community!

This is one of your best Sunday postings Mike, with picures of fellow Corvette forum members and the ZR1 shots. Congratulations on your recognition as well

I love the black C3. It looks like the back of the old Riviera! How did the Black Rose GS with machined wheels sneak in there?

Great post, Mike. Very entertaining and inspiring. Thank you.

My favorite...

Default Snowing for Criswell deliveries

Only Furman could sell ice cubes to the Eskimos.

Never seen a Dually truck as a single cab.

And that black GMC 6 passenger truck...... what specific purpose was that monster factory truck built for...... at the price of at least 2 new C7ZO6’s???!!!

Strange to see your C7 sold order 2018’s arriving, with the early production ZR1 2019’s coming in the early Spring.

The Corvette production model year time lines have never been so skewed.

Thanks for another great week of photos Mike! Congratulations on nearly 4,000 sales and for being #1. Outstanding!

My favorite ad is the '66 "Escape Mechanism". Really cool.

Great job Mike. Thanks for sharing.

The ZR1 debut was something else.

Please pass this advice along to the Chevy PR team. if you want us to pay sole attention to the Car on the stage, don't have the spokesperson outdo it lol... WOW.. she is a knockout!

I was looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at the dealership but due to the snow, I raced in Friday night to pick up my new baby. Couldn't let snow or salt get anywhere near her! Have to come back in for some adjustments after this snow clears out so hopefully I'll catch up with you then.

Mike; You mentioned a few weeks ago that you know somebody who has seen the C8.
1) Does he think its better looking than the C7?
2) More importantly, when is the C8 going to go on sale?
