Default C6 versus c7

Just want some opinions. I have found a 2006 one owner Z06 with 4,700 miles. I am debating on trading my 2014 C7 Z51 Stingray on it. I have owned 2 other Z06 and it may just be me but the 06 seems to be more powerful than the other C6 Z06's. I miss the raw power and race car feel of the C6 Z06....C7 is a technological marvel but just a different feel than the C6 Z06.....any opinions

All C6 Z06s had 505 HP. The C7 you had was 455 or 460 HP.

Correct. The Z06 truly has more of a race car feel

Sounds like you miss the feel of the Z06, but you're in kind of a no-lose position. You'll have a great car either way. Best wishes with your decision making.

The 2006 Z06 was the quickest when the tested it in Motor Trend. Also, if you look at the stock fast list, it is dominated by 2006s. I also think they may be a little lighter than subsequent years. If you mod the 2006 Z it will really be a performer. I have mine up to 525rwhp with the stock cam, but with an aftermarket cam you can get it to 565-575rwhp you would really have the race car feel and wicked sound of a cam. I think it will be certainly more raw and exciting that your C7 since the L7s really pulls hard up top and higher revving.

I like the style of the rear of the C6 better than the C7.

I think since you already own the C7, you should just drop $7-12K into NA mods on your '14. I think ultimately you'll just have a much nicer and faster car.

I drive an older '08 Z51, but you know, these are getting to be older cars. Nothing wrong with that but I think it's a step backwards in your case.

Why not just add a supercharger to your current C7 or trade up to the C7 Z06?(more power)

There is no replacement for the LS7. I have a 07 Z, has 595 to the rear wheels. I'm not trading it for anything.

Good luck with your search.
