Default Cross-Country in a Callaway Corvette-come along for the drive...

What a week... was in the (270,000 mile) 2010 Callaway SC606 Corvette, but then had to head to our office in CA to get the Callaway SC757 Z06 AeroWagen and drive to Florida by Monday... so let's go for a drive...

Landed last night, grabbed hotel, then hit the road this morning...

Just curious on the 2010 grandsport, have you guys had to rebuild or replace any of the drive train components ?

Great question. No, and still the original clutch.

Although on consumables, 19 sets of tires, 5 sets of brakes, 2 sets of wheel bearings, and 3 sets of wiper blades.

36 oil changes. And over 1,000 car washes.

Thanks again

That was going to be my question... i.e. set 5k OCI or going by the monitoring system. Good to know!

Wow, amazing. Just goes to show, if a professional company like yours sets it up right, a supercharged corvette ( or other GM product like a Camaro, Truck etc ) has great durability. Thanks for all the quality corvettes you guys have produced over the years.

I wonder if you're on interstate 10 in TX, that will pretty much take you straight to Florida.

After 15 hours driving, I'll pick it up again in the am.

Thanks for following along so far...

But no thanks to the lack of gas stations in West TX

Default Cross country in a Callaway

Those interstate route numbers, the landscape and weather in the photos remind me of our cross country trip with the “WHEATLEY BROTHERS DRAG TEAM” to the 1971 “WINTERNATIONALS” at “BEE LINE DRAGWAY” in PHOENIX ARIZONA flat towing our 1969 camaro on an open trailer pulled by a 1970 3 door big block automatic suburban, first class tow rig back in the day.coming from the east coast marsh land, crossing 2 mountain ranges, tumble weeds and snow in the desert, straight highways for miles, longest trains I had ever seen, rock slides with hugh boulders and large tarantula spiders, lower end of the “GRAND CANYON” and blizzard conditions over “FLAGSTAFF MOUNTAIN”,in the company of “GRUMPY” who built our engines and “MISS LINDA VAUGHN” who is still a friend to this day.thanks for the memories and love “Callaway” 757 white coupes.
