Not sure why this says cleaner kit, but this is the PN being advertised with the kit...

Sounds to me like a lot per potential hp on an LT1. But, probably great for bench-racing, online and otherwise.

If you read the fine print it also requires an updated MAF tune from GM so this doesn't look like something you're just going to install in your driveway.

The reported power increase with a supercharged engine is significant with aftermarket LRIs (Low Restriction Intake; hate to call them CAI's as all C7s have Cold Air Intake and the GM system gets it's air intake from the same place!

Can understand for a Z06 a tune might be needed but doubt one is required for the base engine.

Yep that is what it says. Surprised as aFe, K&N and others say no need on the LT1.
I've had zero problems in ~2 1/2 year of using the aFe system.. Agreed, I am using some of the existing range in the OEM air/fuel MAPS that come with the engine. If I lived in Denver, perhaps it would be on the edge and to bring it back to centerline would need a new calibration.

Sr.Random input generator
So what are the gains? Do we have a dyno published by GM? They did that before for other parts/crate engines, before.

^^^ Interesting, 1st time I have seen that 25% increased flow published.
The aFe, low restriction system looks similar to the GM system. However the aFe filter is larger than OEM and the requires a larger housing. Their larger oiled cotton filter, which I have, has a flow increase of 42% over stock.
aFe also makes an oil free replaceable not cleanable filter, which I assume GM would use (for retained ongoing consumable sales!) which aFe says is less of a flow increase. They had published a comparison oiled versus paper, but hard to find that flow number now!
aFe Oiled Cotton Left: OEM Grand Sport Right

Well at least we've now seen something saying it increases HP.

I was able to speak with one of the engineers from Michigan working on it and there is a MAF tune to go with it and full warranty in effect on the Corvette .

That is the plan from what I was told and fully water infiltration, drive by noise tested as well to meet all standards as a manufacture which the aftermarket is not required to meet. The power gains I was told are less than the aftermarket claims but it is easy to make a low restriction filter if you allow dirt to enter the engine but that is not the case here as this meets GM micron numbers for max engine life.

I believe the MSRP is $625.00 US but not sure if the MAF tune is included in that price.
When I spoke to the engineer in Dec they had not finalized the part at that time but he told me they were getting a average of 4-5hp gain on LT1 engines and a average of 10-12hp on LT4 engines with the best LT4 number @15hp.With GM testing procedures I am sure these numbers are real .I ordered a 2019 vert base car on Jan 27 and it is listed as a option for the car but there was no option code at that time so I could not order it with the car. I will have to order it from parts when it becomes available .Since I am in Canada that probably means a longer delay before it is available across the border.
