Under side of hood pad
Has anyone had to change the under hood insulation panel? some mice got to mine and chewed it up. Are the push in clips that hold it difficult coming out?

Nope, not at all. Even if you break one auto parts stores should have a pack of replacements. Similar to the round retainers that hold inner fender plastic panels in place. I used to buy them all the time when my installers needed new ones.
Worst case, you have to go to a Chevy dealer and buy new ones.

One of the easiest things that you can do. If you lived on OKC I have one that I would give you.

Not hard to take out, and you can actually buy the same pins at Lowes where they sell nails and screws in the bins.

There are special removal tools available or just use two slot screw drivers, one on each side and gently pry up. The holding pin portion of the fastner is only about 3/8 inch long. You can reuse them if removed carefully. One trick is after the hood is open, place a sheet over the entire open engine compartment draping over the fenders and cowel to prevent the fasteners from falling down in the engine compartment.

Hood Pad Decal
Ecklers makes a decal kit that fits into the corvette insignia that is recessed in the pad. They include detailed instructions on cleaning the debris off of the pad to get it to stick. I'll be starting with a new pad so it should be a breeze to get it to adhere to the pad without the cleaning procedure.

Should be a five minute job. I do recommend some kind of trim puller. I have the plastic set from Harbor Freight.
I just installed a new pad with the pins I had hydro carbon'd and chrome strikers and I would say ten minutes top.
Have fun.

I like the chrome strikers. Not a fan of the shiny carbon fiber pins on the flat hood liner. But then again, you may have a lot of carbon fiber inside your engine that would match it, so it would make sense to do that.
But OP, the pins at Lowes (if you need to get a couple ) are only like $2 apiece if that. Post up a pic once you get everything installed.

I checked Eckler's site. The only C6 decal they show is a stainless plate. They have a Z06 pad, a Jake pad and a GS pad. Didn't see a C6 or GS decal. Please tell me if I'm wrong. I'd love to have one too.
