Need an unrestored air cleaner base for a 1977. We only need the bottom, but would buy the whole unit if needed. The one on our car was modified by a previous owner (see drilled holes).

The sticker on the side will have the part number 8995527; see photo.

Let me know if you have one that would work. And if the date is the same or earlier than what is shown in the photo, that would be a bonus!

are you trying to get back to original?? Previous owner must of tried to get more air to carb, probably not a good idea since it was getting hot air, not cooler air.(IMO) GOOD LUCK with getting the correct decal on it.

Yes, that's the goal. The point deduction for the current damage is small, but the owner would like to at least see if we can find a suitable replacement.

All of the ones at Carlisle last year had been spray-bombed black, so didn't fit the bill.

The owner found one, but the date is later than the car.
